I routinely switch to the other side if i see one side is very uneven, i also stick it out when i'm getting my but kicked and enjoy the challenge of trying to get the beat on somebody who is kicking my tail. I really believe it makes me a better pilot.

and yet here i sit alone....Again, just because i was having a good game, so instead of staying to try and take me out, 5 opponents left, then i flew around waiting for 15-20 min and everybody that came in, took a look at the score and left :( finally I got "connection lost" but what Zup should have had it say was "Points and Kills Lost HAHAHA!!" ugh

Lol!

I have no idea how many times that has happened to me. I often use that as my cue to start goofing off. Landing strange places, "stitching the bridge", looking for underground entrances, trying to find good screenshots, "surveying" Gretchland.

When someone spawns in I will often say "I'm not shooting unless shot at" It leaves it up to them, although I have to say I love a good chase around the bridge.

I totally understand you BigJoe.. I probably have at least a 1/2 dozen similar screenshots.. it sucks when you're having a good mission then everybody leaves after you kill them 1 or several times.

Personally, the first few months after I started playing I used to get killed by the bucket-load, yet I wouldn't leave.. so I don't understand those that do. If you start a mission you should stay to the conclusion.. unless real-life or connection problems interfere.

Personally I prefer shorter games to longer ones as real life is extremely busy. Sometimes I enter a game and think it will be short, or enter a game because I have 15 minutes to spare and get as much fun in as possible before needing to leave. If I have time I will stick a longer game out but generally speaking the marathon games aren't for me just because I usually don't have the time. I hope that doesn't make me a bad person. I just feel really guilty when I am not being productive if that makes sense to anyone.

I have found that too long in front of the computer also gives me a rare condition I call "Monkey butt"... I just cannot sit still that long.

I think the worst is when you have time and get the connection lost message.. That has happened far too many times. Most notably I was in the middle of an intense turn fight with Wig and *POOF* lost connection!

I agree Zebra, I think the games I am determined to stick around the longest, are those where I am solo against many. I dunno, they are just waiting for you to give up, and it just makes me press on. Bad for the stats, but oh well, its fun!

Usually the only reason i leave a game is because
1. Im the only one there
2. I lost connection
3. I picked the wrong plane
4. The game is getting no where and is going to last an hour
5. There r buttloads of spawnkillers and campers in the game.. So i just leave
6. If its a game i dont really care for (bomb the carriers)
7. Or if i have agreed to meet someone in chat or have gone to the wrong server

If everyone here knows how i fight and play.. They know i usually stick it out in 6vs1 no hope of winning games
And im usually flying the second tier allied plane

Always strikes me as odd when someone leaves just before they lose a game. Guess they don't know you get some points for a loss as well.

well, if i can come on here because people wont stay, then i should do the same when they do....

Couple newer players here, stuck it out all the way despite my going 15-0 with 1 crash. They kept fighting and by the end they were flying much better and were alot harder to take down. I told them keep going and thats exactly how i got better, by staying in games with good pilots to test myself against instead of leaving when i see a challenge on the other side.

Great job jaeger and no name guy!

I often log onto dogfight later at night as I usually don't leave the office untill 8:00 PM or so. I'm just there to relax, fly around, and kill some people. Normally I'll stick it out until the bitter 7-1 end, but last night was one of those nights when I couldn't sign off fast enough.

I sign in and fly a couple quick games here and there, then catch a really good BTC game with xray in blue and Tbuilt in red, plus some other known quality pilots. Ah-ha, here's a good one. I settle in to battle and it's 5-3 they, and we are being pressed. I'm running left and right shooting palnes and tanks and chutes, getting knocked down a good bit, run up a good KDR for the quality of guys on, and right in the middle I strafe a tank to no effect. I ignore it for a while to see if hits register; nothing. I come back and keep peppering away now and then, nothing. We are pressed such that we are rarely getting feet dry on our side, but occasionally get a tank shell off at their carrier. I get one on target and it sails through into anther dimension, scoring no hit and blocking my chat window in orange.

Then the invincible tank finally gets close enough to start registering hits on our carrier. We are occupied fillign it full of lead and tanks are everywheerre on the bluff. One of our guys gos to sleep on the deck for a while. Then one of those permanent sneakers, Marhsall level with as good as an aircraft as my now subpar SE5 sneaks, AGAIN, as I finally lose it and ram the lagger with a kamikaze bomb drop.

I don't play to up my stress level, I play to lower it. Poof, I'm gone. Sorry X, can't stand an invincible lagger and a sneak while being outnumbered that bad.
