I haven't been on in several months, but I came back and couldn't help but notice Spitfire's tirade back in May. Since his account is banned, he's probably unable to view private messages. I'm sure he's created an alt account by now.

Spitfire, I know how you feel. While we're all responsible for the raging spirit that dwells within us, our rageful side is really not us at all. The consequences we face from it are determined by how well we control that spirit. I am normally a very nice guy, but I do have an angry side that is often very difficult for me to control and deal with. We all have a rageful spirit to some degree.

Yes, there's stuff about this game that pisses me off too. I'm not that great a player for one thing. In an "everybody against everybody" game, if I get in a one on one tangle and we're flying circles around each other, 9 out of 10 times I'll lose. I'll do so bad that those I get teamed with in the next game will try and shoot me down cuz they don't want me on their team!

As for what you said about the M.O.M. squadron: I don't care much for them either. I was playing against a couple of them once and they couldn't get by me to bomb the last hangar. So what does one of them do? Switches to my team and bombs the hangar! They're not as good as everyone says they are but they're still not THAT evil.

Our rage hates us. Our rage wants us to destroy ourselves and things we've worked so hard to build. Our rage is not happy until we've done just that. We need to learn to control our rage. Doing that gives you a feeling of accomplishment. What I do to prevent rage when playing this game is to first determine my anxiety level. If I know that making it across the field, dropping the bomb and missing will cause me to throw my device, I will just release my bomb after take-off and serve as defense or escort. This game is supposed to be fun, not cause anxiety! And during times when my anxiety level is at its highest, I'll play Storm Raiders instead. :D

The best thing to do is leave the game and come back after you've calmed down.

As much as I agree with everything you said (well, besides not being fond of M.O.M, fondness for M.O.M is a legal requirement,) the best thing for Spit to do is leave for a while and never return to Dogfight. A perma-ban is supposed to be just that. An open declaration of "leave, not even the creator of the game wants you here."
You're getting predictable, guys. You can do better, right?

No, I said they were NOT evil. Spitfire was conveying they were.

Some of us are evil! I worship Satan, commit armed robberies, and dump my bombs on a regular basis.

that parenthesis was meant to be purely anecdotal. If we are being exact, though, I have edited it.

Although I have been accused of occasionally luring homeless people do their deaths with cans of soup and sacrificing them to Satan. Obviously, It's never been proved.

Then wouldn't that mean that the other types of bans means even the owner doesn't want you here for (said amount of time)? Or would permanent ban means to punish a person for their actions by taking away all of their stats and whatnot and making them start all over again? U really shouldn't speak for other people, you are not them, so you can not fully know how they think, just guess how they think(sometimes the guesses are correct, sometimes they aren't)
Who am I?

Well I personally had it out with spitfire more than all of you and yes your right something made him snap and yes he shouldn't of done that no excuses...but speaking for myself I've forgiven spit and after hearing his story or side of why he snapped I had a better understanding (still no excuse)...Its real easy to judge in this game and that can lead to tension and arguing should he of been banned absolutely yes forever ban seems kinda harsh but not my call...Either way it your constantly trying to push someones buttons then eventually your gonna make them snap ....some people forget that when you go looking for trouble then don't cry foul ball when you find it.If you cuss in this game you receive a mute or ban but some squadrons home page and forums are riddled with cuss words that I don't understand. ..but my main point is "there's usually more to the story when were passing out judgement"...That's all for me not my decision. ..

I was talking about LF Spitfire, not 101.

The only reason I wanted to put up the message was well... more to say that lots of people (like me) have these emotions/temptations and they are very hard to deal with.
