I haven't been on in several months, but I came back and couldn't help but notice Spitfire's tirade back in May. Since his account is banned, he's probably unable to view private messages. I'm sure he's created an alt account by now.
Spitfire, I know how you feel. While we're all responsible for the raging spirit that dwells within us, our rageful side is really not us at all. The consequences we face from it are determined by how well we control that spirit. I am normally a very nice guy, but I do have an angry side that is often very difficult for me to control and deal with. We all have a rageful spirit to some degree.
Yes, there's stuff about this game that pisses me off too. I'm not that great a player for one thing. In an "everybody against everybody" game, if I get in a one on one tangle and we're flying circles around each other, 9 out of 10 times I'll lose. I'll do so bad that those I get teamed with in the next game will try and shoot me down cuz they don't want me on their team!
As for what you said about the M.O.M. squadron: I don't care much for them either. I was playing against a couple of them once and they couldn't get by me to bomb the last hangar. So what does one of them do? Switches to my team and bombs the hangar! They're not as good as everyone says they are but they're still not THAT evil.
Our rage hates us. Our rage wants us to destroy ourselves and things we've worked so hard to build. Our rage is not happy until we've done just that. We need to learn to control our rage. Doing that gives you a feeling of accomplishment. What I do to prevent rage when playing this game is to first determine my anxiety level. If I know that making it across the field, dropping the bomb and missing will cause me to throw my device, I will just release my bomb after take-off and serve as defense or escort. This game is supposed to be fun, not cause anxiety! And during times when my anxiety level is at its highest, I'll play Storm Raiders instead.
The best thing to do is leave the game and come back after you've calmed down.
