Who can tell me about the Prancing Pony Inn at the ghost town?

I have heard about the Jolly Roger, but the Pony looks pretty cool
I hear the song of the Valkyries, they call to me, they bid me to take my place in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever.

The Prancing Pony was an inn in the village of Bree, capital of the land of the same name. It was based inside the central hub of the town near the stables, and various merchant stalls. Since Bree was built on the major road of the Greenway, it was a fairly well traveled inn, and was so accustomed to hobbits that they had even built hobbit rooms specialty for them.

In the years leading up to the fabled Quest for Erebor, Gandalf the Grey met up with Thorin Oakenshield in the inn by chance. Thorin, who wished to slay the dragon of Smaug and reclaim his kingdom of the Lonely Mountain (Erebor) and retain his rightful place as King under the Mountain. Gandalf met him there and he, who also wanted Smaug dead for reasons of his own, aided Thorin in finding a burglar, and fourteenth member of his company.

At this time the inn was run by a man named Barliman Butterbur, and the hobbits arrived days later to meet him. They met Aragorn, left there by Gandalf, who helped them along the road in the next day. However that night the room they were supposed to be staying in was attacked by the Nazgûl, but they had luckily and cunningly moved rooms. The hobbits and Aragorn made off through the Low-lands the next day.
May the ancestors look down upon your achievements and smile.

This is all so painful, it reminds me of my late uncle who died in a terrible prancing accident. The ponies were prancing in the sun, uncle Chester stepped out to get a closer look and lost his footing,
"CHESTER NOOOO!"
But it was too late! PRANCE! PRANCE! PRANCE! They were on him in the blink of an eye! He was pranced to death under that late April sun.
Rest in peace uncle Chester, we always think of you when the ponies prance.

Remember, only you can prevent prancing accidents.

*For entertainment purposes only. No actual uncles were killed in the making of this fictional story. Let the ponies PRANCE!

SANITY IS HIGHLY OVERRATED....
