You found some bombing success in an outnumbered game against a red team of droppers. Your story here shows how crazy it is to have to listen to complainers. You did something they did not expect and out smarted them! It's funny that they left the game after that. So, how did it make you feel that these guys were playing by their own standards (which you did not share) and they felt they had a right to tell you that you should not do something that they did not like?

It is a fallacy, though; to say that they represent all "droppers". It's kind of like saying "all blue collar workers are mindless drones". There might be some examples which are accurate but it is certainly not representative of all of them.

That reminds me of another game I once played with Panchin as the only other blue. We dropped and kept back wave after wave of the six reds. We managed to push them back to their hill. When I got shot down I went for a sneak. It was a nail biter to watch the chat. Panchin was shreading them and for a while be was holding them at their base. I was thinking "okay, now lead them away so I can dive bomb..." then he got shot down. Perfect. I went in. When I started my decent there was only one red at their base. It looked like he had landed to reload. He got off the ground but was not able to catch me. BOOM! Got two! I crashed and respawned and found myself at our base with incoming reds. Pan was picking them off as they were trying to camp on him. I got up and we started pushing them back again.

Oh the complaints! "Droppers!" "Sneakers!" "Is that the only way you can fight?!!!" Panchin , who had been getting whined at all game, was laughing "Lol!!"

Lol. They finally "lowered their standards" and started sneaking too. The thing is that since I was going high I was able to see their approaching sneaks. Lol. They finally over ran us while I was trying to chase one who was divebombing. We lost. But it was a hell of a fight. Pan was something like 35/6 , I think I was 8/3. The reds were all low or negative kdr. It would have been very different if we had just carried up the middle. It's pretty certain that we would have lost but I doubt it would have been so memorable.

So, were we without honor?

It was a very fun game.

It wasn't about beating them.at their own game. Why the hell were there three droppers to start with it was 5/2 game just what were they after nothing more than points that's all. You see they want us to play their way witch is dogfighting. And we were in a bombing game

So you bombed. When you outsmarted them they left. Problem solved.

Why would they leave if all of their opponents are flying up the middle with bombs? As you said; these guys were looking for easy points. If no one stands up to them they have no reason to stop.

Again, what good does complaining do? They are not breaking any rules. They do not have to play the way you do. If you use strategy to counter them you are playing the way the game is designed. If you are complaining and trying to get them to give you "courtesy" you are being ineffective.

Ive seen big name.squads.and.members run with hypocracy. It always seems to be when they are getting camped on that the honor and rules come up. At the end.of the day its just a game. Mom jokes dont bother me either nor threats of reporting me. Like I give a crap what internet players think of me. I look at my family friends and.professional colleagues For friendship admiration and respect.

I'm still not sure where you got the idea that anyone is trying to tell you how to play. My entire point is that as long as someone is playing within the rules no one should try to tell others what they may or may not do.

Your strength is in your honor. Your belief seems to be that there is only one type of honor here.
Please open your mind to the possibilities. You have been posting about how slighted you have felt by other players because they don't agree with your style. I'm trying to encourage you to look at the game in a way that encompasses all skill levels and strategies. Why do you want to throw away everything you have always valued because there are other points of view?

There is still room for the up the middle bombers in a Meta game. However, there is also room for people with low skills and noob planes too.



A little food for thought:

I don't like spawnkilling even when I'm coming into the allied base with a bomb. I think it is cheap kills. The incoming German bombers could easily come in slightly more from the East and avoid most of it but still have an advantage as the spawning allies try to clear the buildings. So what? I can let it make me mad and hate the game and everyone who shoots me on the runway. I can make more threads complaining about it and the players that do it. By my own standards it is not honorable because I know that there is a way to bomb without doing it. So what? I still like the game and I still like many of the players who do it.

Also, I personally don't just arbitrarily drop and chase. I only drop for what I consider valid reasons. I used to get mad at droppers and despise them. Since I started hunting them I found that there are all types and kinds of droppers. They have their own reasons and there is no way for me to enforce my point of view on them. They will always be here just like the guys who spawnkill all the way in to bomb. They are part of the dogfight community. I love this game and they are part of it.

Please stop shaming and complaining. A constructive complaint can be helpful but shaming is worthless unless it is for a real rule breaker. If you are after honor you will find none of it in shaming or berating someone whose only offence is that they have a different point of view and a different style with which they play the game.

Regarding spawn killers....

After doing everything you said and although I'm not the best pilot, I will go high without a bomb and drop over their runway and return the favor for a while... Preferably until they get mad and leave while griping about ME camping. I guess I'm a little bit vindictive that way....

Good point Jack. But there's to many guys that want to turn.every game into a dog fight mission. I've been told so many times I just want to dogfight these are the guys that tick me off. If all they want to do is dog fight then find a non bombing mission. If there's droppers in the game I just fly around them or I will chase them down. But this is a game and I keep hearing its all about the win win no matter how you do it. What happened to having fun. And why do these guys get so upset if you don't dog fight with them and why is it when a game has been going on for over an hour or more where everyone is carrying and a dropper jumps in and everyone asks him to leave they feel the need to way their going to escort bombers. Mind you when I say everyone asks him to leave it is both teams.
