Actually you can MacLaren.. just set the sensitivity where you want it in realistic view then go back in and just change the view to simple.. the sensitivity stays the same.

& Wig, I don't know what weird set of circumstances you ran into with that player & his D8, but I suspect the majority of it was due to lag & the small profile of the D8 which so many people have been complaining about... there isn't some super-speed option on this.. it just allows Windows players to turn as fast as anyone else, rather than be stuck in a slow-turning plane rut.

If we received (as you say) triple speed boost advantage NOBODY would be able to kill me.. yet the same good players kill me about as often as they usually do.. (McFate/Hulk/etc) so I think whatever it was you experienced was an aberration.

I was in the D.VIII, he was in a Camel, my digital bullets might as well have been digital Q-Tips for all the damage they did head-on, his digital bullets might well have been digital Smart Bombs, it only took one and the one didn't need to get closer than 6 digital miles. Still, I might've written it off as an aberration had he not admitted that he was testing the "new" Windows sensitivity slider for the first time and had Joaquin not acknowledged here that he'd made some alterations to the control that are probably, or at least possibly, causing the issues I observed.

I've seen you on your brand of PC Benzedrine and this was exponentially ridiculouser. I saw it, others saw it, other Win8 users saw it both on him and on themselves in the cases of those who'd also popped the new speedball. I didn't see it on non-Win players.

Again, I'm not complaining because I couldn't kill the l'il feller, I killed him just swell, but only by abandoning all hope of carrying a bomb and denying him the speed/pixel-position advantage that comes with the Windows now-you-don't-see-me-now-you're-dead edge. I threw down this thread to make homies aware and to see who else has felt my pain. More than enough have to convince me that something is effin' rotten in the state of Denmark. S'all.

I forgot to mention the pilot that sparked this thread and I run the same hardware and settings. I know from experience if he gets past me head to head, its a mere blink of an eye before he gets me, crazy turning compared to my aircraft. I wanna say last match up with the two of us it was 2-16 in his favor, and we run the same hardware. I am not saying he is cheating because it doesn't seem that way, just that he is a better pilot than I, or has faster internet or something. I compare it to playing 1 on 1 basketball with Lebron James. He is gonna win every time.

Again, just my experiences. I am not so sure you can pin the blame for Jimmy on the Windows sensitivity.... he was pretty crafty prior to finding the slider. I know I am not the caliber pilot you are, Wigbomb, but all things being fairly equal hardware-wise he still turns on a dime compared to my top tier fully upgraded aircraft with the settings the same.

Well because of this ONE PILOT I certainly hope zuperman doesn't put things back the way they were with my planes unable to shoot down even a level 8 pilot in a plane two tiers BELOW MINE for over SEVEN WEEKS! My planes would not turn! ANYONE could shoot me down... I mean ANYONE!

It was beyond disheartening and I was contemplating leaving this game that I have grown to LOVE! which is my first and ONLY multi-player game that I've ever played.

I know I am not the best pilot in the game, but without tooting my horn to loudly, I AM one of the Top 20 dogfighters I truly believe.. my Achilles heel is straight on head to head shooting. Utilizing arrow keys doesn't give me the precision of aiming compared to any other platform used in this game.

But when I had planes that couldn't out-turn any plane but freebie & tier 2 planes it sucked. I don't want nor need any kind of advantage, just parity with everyone else. What I experienced for those 7 weeks was horrendous & frustrating beyond belief.

zuperman I certainly hope you don't put things back the way they were for those 7 weeks.. leave them as they are or put them they way they were PRIOR to that is fine! I had 0% advantage over any other plane/pilot (just as I do now) and yet still dominated in the air against most foes (with the exception of McFate, tKes, SkyDavis, BlueMaX, CrazyWolf, XxXxX, 420, Calle, Cricket, Ziza, VonHulk, Whip, and more than a few others besides those that I have mentioned)

Well, if my input is welcome at all.
I usually play in a reclining position. I don't like flinging my lil' phone all over my head, so I have always played using the manual joystick control. I accepted the advantage it gives me head-on, and the severe disadvantage of awful turning. When I found that Ziza, Wig, BlueMax, and other elite turnfighters use tilt controls on tablets, I decided to try it out. I used tilt for the first time ever in a zeppelin mission today, and was God-awful.
I flew like a drunk man. I was weaving all over the place. At one point, I literally did not know which way was up. As I lay on my couch, in my usual position, I was rolling all over, attempting to simultaneously control the darn plane, fire bullets, and stay on the couch. I was successful in none of the three.
My lone companion literally asked, "how are you in M.O.M?" I explained, and he laughed. Sardonically, I'm assuming. He said "you get the big balloon, I'll get the enemy" (a lone level 3 pilot.)
I floundered around, firing whenever I was lucky enough to spot the zeppelin. My companion came to assist me. Finally, he said "finish it, Mac", to which I replied, "I'm completely out of control". He was gracious enough to finish it for me.

I've settled for cranking the sensitivity on my little joystick and being a mediocre turning fighter, but an above-average head-on fighter.

This narrative has contributed absolutely nothing to the purpose of this thread, besides illustrating exactly how little I can contribute to the purpose of this thread. Thank you for allowing me to waste your time.

Jimmy is in my squad and I fly with him all the time, long before any new update I've seen him have 15-20 kill streaks and games with kills in the triple digits, I have many SS of past games. So i'd say its safe to assume if he was doing that with the sensitivity at the default halfway setting and then turned it up for the first time he might be a tough kill, even for wig.... Remember he is not "Jimmy the Average"

I play on windows and with new update and sensitivity all the way up, i get no super speed :/ so I don't think the setting is an issue here.

Tablets aim better pc's turn faster....waste of time to debate this. Every device, hardware and connection type has its advantages and disadvantages. Its never going to be even as longs as there is disparity among the many different device, hardware and connections types. Its an endless conversation/project to make everything even or fair. Life doesn't work that way and neither should DF.

Again, kids, I didn't start a Windows Bashing thread or a make-everything-conform-to-my-personal-notion-of-what-exact-device-parity-is thread; I started a thread with a narrow focus on one specific issue that hadn't been addressed on the forum because it was only hours old. It wasn't only me seeing the problem, it isn't absolutely everything about Windows, it was some players who informed me of a new tech development for Windows and we, not only I, decided it was clearly dicey. Dogfight for Windows blows and has since day one but that was not my point here.

Every Tom, Dick and Dogfighter flings himself at this forum to bitch his fool head off about this player "hacking", that player "camping", another player "dropping". I thought it might be a welcome novelty to broach a subject that isn't compete rat's assery.

as a windows player it would just be a shame to see the settings downgraded because one above average pilot was thought to have an advantage but maybe instead he is just above average.

I was there, along with several other players both Windows and non, and we observed what you couldn't, first hand. No, I was not "windows bashing", yes, I do know the difference between conventional Win8 sync lag and something new and noticeably more extreme, no, this was not just business as usual, yes, I can differentiate between 150mph and 300mph, and shocking though it may be, I have seen just barely enough of Dogfight to be able to recognize an "above average pilot" when one screams past my windscreen at two and a half times the max speed of the plane he's flying.

My leadership "role model" standing has been compromised by this thread? Because I explain, re-explain, re-re-explain something painfully straightforward then grow frustrated when treated like I can't possibly be correct about something you can't possibly have an opinion of because you were not even remotely there in any sense or interpretation of the word "there". The problem here isn't me bashing Windows. I don't care much for Windows but I don't care enough about it at all to waste energy bashing it. I just shoot it down. Even if it's in the hands of above average pilots. Even if it's bugging out at 300mph. I shoot it down, it shoots me down, I struggle to give a damn, I fail, I get on with my day. The problem is the fight-or-fight reaction that prompts some to bear down on their indignation without having processed the facts. No offense meant. Just as a precautionary measure, I went down in my basement, looked tgrough my old wardrobe (don't ask). Sir wig, I'm not saying you need this now, but you will at sometime in the future. I've said this a few times, so I'll stop after this one. It's an effect of 44.55. The sensitivity slider is not new so it has nothing to do with this update. Your experience started at the same time that 44.55 came out. THAT is the problem. I've been seeing it in every game. It effects EVERY one regardless of device.

true, i found the sensitivity slider several weeks ago, and even now it doesnt result in anything crazy, leading me to belive what Wig saw was more of an issue with new 44.55 than the slider which is not new, if it were the slider wouldn't all windows users be able to accomplish this by turning it up?

I saw zebra last night and he was flying it seemed super fast. I also had a two tooth one impacted in the jaw extraction and was on a diet of percocets and zero food. I then realized the game had updated and I had not reset the sensitivity. Realized this many hours later of course, but dogfight always comes through 8n times of pain. I was sure the Gods stripped me of all skill upon the extraction of the jawbone tooth that harassed me for years. S o glad to be rid of it I found it was my Sampsons long hair. HOW I cursed the Gods last night and dentists fkr leaving me a shell of my former self. But then the percocets wore off. And I saw the update. Back on percocets this morning headed to church then perhaos some flying....kept saying in games something is very wrong here..someone would say whats wrong dogss..I would have no answer as I dealt with the Gods cruel ironic justice. Lol

But Rudolf I couldn't out-turn you.. my plane turned just the same as yours. I just have very fast reaction time (or so I was told when tested in the military) which also allows my old azz to race motorcycles against teens & early 20 year old professional motorcycle racers (and I am OLD!) I have occasionally spanked riders on brand new machines with my 25+ year old bikes.. not because my bikes are fast (usually I have approximately 1/2 the horsepower of factory backed machines or even less) but because I LOVE corners and have fast reaction times & eye/hand coordination.

I bet you do nice doughnuts as well!

I've been shot down and bested by most of you all here, but I have at least stood chance and with some luck had some success but what ever "Jimmythearrogent" has it ant skill and he should not be able to pose as as some kind of ACE !!!

The argument isnt rather the advantage exist or doents, zup already stated that windows 8.1 does have a turn advantage. The argument is rather they should be allowed to have this advantage. I say "NO!" I dont they they should have this advantage. And if they get to keep it than I think its fair the rest of the ppl who arnt windows 8.1 users also gets some kind of advantage....at least shooting distance or something....I think thats only fair.
