Things were going along great.. Made cdr, thirty something. games and victorys ..then it stalled on me.. I'd like to join a sqd. But they all have (or seem to) level 8 reuirements.. So how's a guy get to eight..

Well u want to try my theory. What I did was just fly and fly. Shoot whatever is red. Suddenly someone will ask u ''Do u want to join my squad?'. Hope this help Lol.

Hmmm how to get promoted spin around do tricks practice your aim, but not all squadrons require level 8 go check out War Birds, we dont require you be level eight and learn all the maneuvers of dogfight go to en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_fighter_maneuvers

Check out G.I. as well bud, we have a good majority over 21 yrs old and have children ourselves (some might even have grandchildren), I myself have 3 kids. We pride ourselves on keeping good people and helping them become great pilots!

There are a number of great squadrons in Dogfight. I read up on each before deciding which squadron fit me the best, and then asked to join. There's no rush to join a squadron, take your time and get to know them. Good luck Pistolfuddyduddy, and see ya in the air or world chat.

Points for ranking come from
- Shooting down, or just hitting a plane
- Bomb carrier or base tents
- Shooting Zeppelins
- Win a game, even losing a game gives some points
- Landing on the ground in a parachute, even if you don't use the tank.
Those are the ones I can recall right now at least.

if you get in a "bring down the zep" mission (shooting the blimp) that will give you i believe 4pts for every single bullet that hits the zep, so if you join one, GO HARD lol!
