Hey Guys - just wanted to get this off my chest. Sme of you guys take this game too seriuosly! I enjoy playing and do it quite often. My main goal is to have fun. In doing this I try and help the team I happen to get spawned with no matter what. I will do anything possible to hel protect and win the game for them. I usually say hi and comment to the team I'm with. I notice lately some who seem to me like older adult players get very upset and I can't understand why. Yeah evryone likes to win at games but boy some of you are down right unpleasant and need help!....... Lol You will group up on an opponent you don't happen to like. You will switch and only fly the D VIII so you can keep your ranking. You will quit if you get killed more than once. You will blame "lag" for you spar tic flying to kill opponent. You guys that take this game to heart I am concerned about Lol. Some day we wont see you around anymore because you lost a game and dropped dead of a heart attack. Lol Really not funny. So take it easy and chill. Mean while have a happy 4th. And think of the Service men that do this for real.

Well I totally disagree, it may be one or two of the old codgers however I find that most of the younguns are very disrespectful to all age groups and more so than the older folks. I guess that happens when they live with mommy and daddy. It also seems several of the younger players have no morality what so ever. I even expand this to some of the middle aged folks.

Yes on both accounts, but I think Crockett is right regarding the disrespectful people in the game. My experience has been with the youngsters and either foul language or just flat-out spawn-killing/camping/alternative strategy/whatever. Hey, if that's the way you play more power to ya but no need to get belligerent and potty mouthed when I call you on it regardless of the team you are on. That to me shows a lack of maturity more prevalent in younger players. I know, there are exceptions to everything and I have had some great games against 15 year olds who pretty much adhere to the unwritten etiquette of the game.

I have had great success by just not sharing the same airspace as folks who, in my opinion, cannot seem to conduct themselves accordingly. It is after all a game. Not war, not too realistic, just a game. (and a fun one at that!) I like to keep it fun for everyone who is playing and also try to do my best and help the team win.

Us old folks are grumpy, not disrespectful.. there is a subtle difference. (I think)

I'm with Davey here.....although there are so many great people in the world of DF, it seems lately, I can check into world chat to find a bunch of kids rambling and often being nasty and mouthy to the point that I just say forget it, I will check back later.....
Yes, it seems DF is growing daily, but I do believe there are many that show up, check us out for a very limited time, and move on to something else. Hey, its the way of the world. So, I shall just keep showing up looking for the great people I have met and talked with that I know will be around, and in for the long haul.....
