It's a phrase that I see in dogfight missions quite often and I can remember it from the old western films years ago. Was Dang Nabbit an actual person, all be it a very unfortunate one? Just curious...

"Dagnabbit" was a phrase often heard on a Saturday morning in the 70's, voiced by the legendary lawman Deputy Dawg.

Most effectively used in Dogfight when Mad Rabbit is in the game a sa red, every time he smoke you you can say "Dagnabbit Rabbit" in your best Deputy Dawg voice. I haven't figured out how to type with an accent yet.

I also heard "dag nabbit" on a gieco ad featuring farmer brown spelling cow c o w e i e i o then after getting it wrong saying Dag Nabbit!!!!

I have used "Dagnabbit" before as well. Idk what it means or how it originated. I just like to say it some times. Others that i use that r vaguely similar are "dadgummit" and "dadburnit". I also dont know how these words came into being. But they are fun to say. Usually people say "crap" or "dang" or other words that need not be said on the forum. So its fun use old weird words that no one hears any more.

That's interesting. Never heard of "dadgummit" or "dadburnit" before. Will look out for them now. But as you say, the old ones are always the best.

I have to say that I never have. Sounds like someone with no teeth. But none the worse for that and it does have a certain way of grabbing your attention..
