Hey guys, sorry I've been away for so long, you'll be seeing more of me once school ends in a few days.
A quick intro for those of you who weren't around when I was a regular here, I'm a 16 year old student from Oregon, I play baseball for my school, and... Eh, read my profile history.
Anyway, to the topic at hand. I'm a student in IHS (International High School), an international program that replaces some regular classes with ones that are geared toward a wider world view. We're usually held to a higher standard than the rest of the school, and our "Community service hours" are replaced with something called "CAS", which stands for Creativity, Action, and Service. You need 150 hours total, 25 25 and 100. You can start earning them July 1st the summer before your Junior year (about two weeks), and I'm looking for ways to get my service hours out of the way, so that I don't have to worry about getting hours recorded and all that. To earn service hours, you have to work without pay for a non-profit charity, or something that you can argue provides a service/ improves mankind.
Along with being an IHS student, I've also just finished my schools graphic design academy. Myself and a few other students have spent the past two years learning design concepts and application, and how to implement them on industry standard software. I've done everything from designing and building a cereal box to making business cards for real clients, to redesigning my school's logo and working on a rebranding project with the principal. So, I've got a decent amount of experience in graphic design, and I'm planning on putting my skills to work to knock out my service hours.
I'm looking to find a non-profit to do some design work for. I can do pretty much anything that the organization might need, business cards, pamphlets, job applications, t-shirts/company clothing stationary, letterheads, even redesigning the logo.
If any of you run, volunteer for, or know someone who runs a non-profit that could use some design work, I'd appreciate you if you'd contact me. Many of you who were around when I was have my email, and you can feel free to use it. I don't want to post it here, since I don't know everyone here anymore, but please reply or PM me, and I'll get back to you with details and my email.
Oh, and even if you need some work done that isn't for a non-profit, I like money too,
Thank you, I appreciate it! See ya in the skies (Soon)!
P.S. I also do photo manipulation (Photoshop).
