Could someone PLEASE post a dictionary of the abbreviations being used in games for us old fuddy duddies to understand and use. (I reckon you'd get a lot of "thankyou"s, not just from me.)

I'm getting fed up with being shot down while I'm fingering out a sentence reply on my onscreen keyboard!!!

For example, I get lol, gg and gj, but what's ts ?

u = You
r = Are

gg = Good Game (appreciate team work and opponent attitude)

gj = Good Job (felicitation for team work)

gs = Good Strike or Good Shot (appreciate opponent kill)
ns = Nice Strike or Nice Shot (appreciate opponent kill)

ty = Thank You
thx= Thanks

sry = Sorry (excuse for friend shoot)
np = No Problem (accept excuses for friend shot)

Some common ones most people know:

ooa = out of ammo
n1 = nice one!
gtg= got to go
rtb = returning to base (or return to base)
nvm = nevermind

Some additional ones that few might know, but we can all use:
otw or omw = on the way or on my way
oys = on your six
omgwiuwtl! = oh my god what is up with this lag?! Okay I made that one up....

Gannet, to your original question, ts is transsexual. Other acronyms you might hear in the game are tv (transvestite), female to male post op (FtMPO), male to female post op (MtFPO), f*&% let get drunk and make some bad decisions (FTLGDAMSBD), for the love of God, shut the f*&% up (FTLOGSTFU) or just STFU for shorthand, get the f*&% out you lagging b*&^%$@ (GTFOYLB), and don't get your panties in a wad (DGYPIAW) although I have seen this one as DGYPIAK, where knot replaced wad, and often DGYPIAN where "not" is mistakenly used for "knot" because let's face it, MOTPDGOUTEG (most of these people didn't get out of the eight grade). Some of them are still in the eight grade (some for a repeat engagement) or grades lesser so there is still some hope to bring up the average.

Looks like new suggestions have dried up.
I'll summarise all the "common" ones, and create new single post of them, well signposted for future new players of senior vintage.

GH (go high)
SH (sneaker high)
SE/W/N/S(sneaker east, west, north or South)
FFS (for f*ck sakes, when people keep crashing on runway/carrier or taking a nap at or just in front of "spawn-spot" of runway/ carrier, or when game is going all wrong for your team)
ROR (reloading/repairing on runway, so look out when taking off)
ROC (reloading/repairing on carrier)
TCC (take carrier close)
TCF (take carrier far)

TLE FV ( take left engine frontal view - zep mission) TRE FV
LED FV (left engine down frontal view) RED FV, also replace FV (frontal view) with RV (rear view) if you don't have time to think lol
GNB (got no bomb, when flying to red base and you dropped bomb already)
LT (leave tank)
LAT (leave all tanks)
NT ((do) no( t)(take)tank, when in an outnumbered game and you see your only teammate in chute)

And the one "abbreviation" I always wanted to have:CR or CODE RED: meaning if you are not about to bomb/destroy hanger/carrier/tank crash and help defend base

Someone needs to translate the meaning of the abbreviations in Spanish and Portuguese (the meaning only, abbreviations stay the same in all languages!!)

Here is one us "vintage" players like to use while defending our base or carrier--GOML!!!

Need a code word for "i'm close to making a bombing run, lay off the reds for a little while so they don't respawn in my face"

Trouble is, it needs to be a secret code, that only blues understand. I think there's a oxymoron there somewhere....
