I've noticed my android is getting very hot since last update. Is anyone's device getting really hot

Yes, but mine always has. It's the battery. Depending on how much RAM (Random Access Memory) your app takes up, affects the battery strength. The harder the battery is working, the hotter it gets. Try to clear RAM and apps running in the background before playing, that should help.

Not only the battery.
Each update makes the game more beautiful than the previous. It makes it beg for more computing resources - and I believe the graphic card is forced to work more and more (correct me if I am wrong, Zup).
To a point that, depending on which device you are playing, you may have to consider buying a newer, more powerful one...
I used to play this game smoothly on my old Galaxy S2; now, it goes hot like hell, and the plane's propelers are shown as simple squares.
I only play on my tablet since a couple udpates ago.

My graphics card in my PC gets a little hot when playing this game for hours. But since my PC's specs are very high enough, it can handle almost any App Game with a high graphics settings if there is.

If the graphic card of your COMPUTER goes hot, you can imagine what this game makes with the graphic cards of most mobile devices, since their tiny GPUs doesnt have decent coolers.

My Nexus 7 2013 tablet doesnt heat with DF, though (it just shows a little stress when I play more complex games, like Real Racing 3, Horn, Fifa 2014, Modern Combat 4 and alike).

My newer "phablet" get quite hot as well.
I heard that hot battery means that its getting old/bad but that don't apply very well with me.
Must be the new updates Darraxx. :huh:

It only gets hot on some updates my battery is new sorry its a month old. But my phone gets cooking after ten minutes

I repeat: its the gpu/processor/memory rig overloaded to handle all the graphics/data produced by the game.
If your device is old, you need a better, newer one.

If youGo into settings and turn the clouds back on that should cool things down a bit. Maybe only play when it's snowing also. :whistle:

I have all the trees and stuff off always do. And I will admit I could use a new phone. But I reinstalled the game and now just have the basic paints. My phone is no longer getting hot. So I'm happy again I'm on a android its has the power and speed to play but a new one would be nice please send your s3 s or tablets to me plus 29.99 for activation fees to me :woohoo: :whistle:

My s2 used to get warm when I played df on it but my s4 has become HOT since day one. Sometimes it gets so hot it's uncomfy to hold. I haven't noticed any difference in the hotness between updates. It might be that the phone gets all worked up over df.

I am on an ipad 3 and sometimes it is getting damn hot, can't tell exactly why. I tried my wifes nexus7 (2013), well, that one gets hot too, so....

But it began after the last two update is when ive took notice on my galaxy note wifi 10.1.
I mainly use it for DF and watching movies durring my lunch time, and while using it for movie running XBMC or showbox I dont have any issues, but lately in DF and especially durring some great lagging games it drains my battery twice as much...
Glad someone brought this up, I thought I was the only one....

Maybe no help with reducing heat but, I always replace standard battery with an extended one. LAZA is a very good brand.
