About one year ago, Paul Mantz Jr told me to experiment playing on tier 1 planes sometimes, just to get "fresh air" (you can read "more bullets on your butt"). I tried, but it sucked, so I gave up.
But now, after reaching morafness (and, therefore, seeing no point, with no goal to pursue), I decided to begin again from zero, from scratch, on a second account.
Oh, those sluggish tier 1 planes... At the begining (first 8 levels), it was a piece of cake. Then, it became a little harder, but after playing some weeks amongst more experienced (and better equiped) pilots, I realized these planes can be a hell of a fun to play with, if you are a head-on guy (I am not good at dofgighting, even when flying faster planes).
In fact, on this new account, my KDR is almost 3/1, what is absurd coming from my poor-skilled hands. I am amazed. Almost every game (even those which I lose) I have at least 2/1 kdr - with a tier 1 plane, against better equipe pilots, repeat.
Of course I don't usually have the luck of being on games where there are a lot of morafs; looks like you are not going to see many morafs on south-american servers, which is where I play most - and looks like most of the morafs plays during a period of the day when I am working, or when I am sleeping - not mentioning the fact that I don't play more than 6 hours per week... But even when I meet some morafs in one game, I do quite well, with good KDR.
So, I make this suggestion: when you reach morafness, go for a new challenge, go for those stupid tier 1 planes! It PAYS A LOT!
