Folliwing my most recent and unfortunate loss of temper at a respected member of this forum, i feel that throughout my months on this forum, i have lost the respect of many members of this community. I have gained much respect, and i thank you for that, but it seems many are annoyed with me as well.
I'm not backing down or leaving the game. That would do more harm than good, I believe. Instead, I will begin a full month of total silence. I will still fly, but i will fly only. I will not post on forum, engage in world chat, or enter in-game chat. Perhaps, by observing, I can learn a lesson, and earn the respect of those whose respect I have lost. This is an especially hard decision, as the vast majority of my posts were mainly conversational, and I will miss the squad chat and full interaction with my friends.
For the times i can't fly, i will have to find a new pastime, but that's a small price to pay.

If I tried that I would have to talk to the wife, how scary is that. Also my hands and fingers would probably start shaking after a few hours. Just thinking about doing that gives me the willys. Uggggggggggggg

lol davy...me too (not the wife thing though) losing internet on my computer for one night was bad enough!

Tempers are lost all the time Mac, and respect can be rebuilt. This forum is overflowing with good people who can see past things like this - obviously you care what others think of you or you wouldn't have even bothered writing a post about backing away for a month.
Lord only knows I've twisted a few panties during my time here, but I've gotten better with a little more care at the words I choose and how I use them.
I guess what I'm saying is that I've seen others feeling the way you do now and they are still here, and getting along just fine

It is alway good to read the words you have written, do I agree with all of them? No, but we are not twins. Like Reckless said, choose your words wisely, but keep speaking your mind.

Melkor, you earned my respect by writing it.
I am 43, and when I was younger, I used to be like you (talking first, thinking later). I still do it sometimes.
Even when you wrote with some rudeness, you had your reasons. As VonKopp (Hulk) said, dont stop speaking your opinion; instead, just try to be less rude.
For me, no hard feelings, truly.
And remember: its just a game!
