As we all do, I frequently play in games with players I've never heard of before. Once in a blue moon, that player turns out to have the right stuff. This happened to me tonight. I was in a game with another player with the rank of two stars. And even though he played the game pretty darn good, it was not how well he aimed and shot, it was the little things. For example, like trusting me to pick up the tank or chute and move to the next kill, shooting up a tank and then dis-engaging at the right moment to pick up incoming, and let me finish off the tank. Flying at good angles keeping shooting lanes clogged or open as needed. Not being selfish with the kills in order to move forward or keep defense intact. It was bar none, the top 5 game that I've ever played in terms of enjoyment, that I have ever played. Thank you esguince; rock on.

Well... I dont want to spoil your game experience, but are you sure that YOU did the right thing by killing those tanks after seeing him shooting them and leaving them alive?
Its all about tactics, angel. Although its quite obvious, most unexperient pilots dont realize that it is better to let tanks be for a while, and only kill them after you (and your teammates) land your bombs, or when the tanks are near your base/ship. It is stupidity to keep killing tanks just to get points, cuz when killed, they will respawn and make bombing more difficult.
Hope you understand my point. I just want to help. I just want to prevent players from geting anger like me - I lost counting how many times I made my way killing 4 reds in a row, just to see a noob kill the tanks, puting the reds back on their wings, infuriating this low-skilled brazilian...

No worries. I totally get your point. Shooting tanks too far away from your base does not make sense, sometimes. These tanks were danger close, and two of the tank drivers were very accurate, and could shoot the eye out of a spider if you know what I mean. So those guys had to be accounted for all the time. It was a challenging game as well, since we were outnumbered 6-2. We ended up losing, but that did not take away from how good that game was.

Just one minor clarification. When I mentioned that he was trusting me to pick up the tanks, I failed to mention that he was shooting them too. I also didn't really intend for this to be a tactics thread, but more of a thread that speaks to the intangibles of other players. In my case, it did involve tactics, but the part I was speaking to was trust and understanding to be able to deploy those tactics, and then the ability to excute under extreme duress. I have seen many people fail at both in life and in game; or succeed in one but fail in the other. But once in a while, you get to see both. I'm not saying it was perfect, that game we played, because perfect sucks, but when it was working, it was a whole lot of fun.

You are right. Many of the most memorable games I played I didnt win. Being outnumbered pays a lot! Unless the reds have some crickets, crockets and alike...
