About this LAG ISSUE, I have a suggestion, and feel free to warn me if I am crossing some line, guys.

We could make sort of a comunity document, a petition signed by those who suffers from other's lag, to ask zuperman an his crew to implement some code to be put not only on servers, but inside the user's phone, to metter the connection speed and prevent the slow ones to connect on some servers. I suggest leaving one or two servers available to the slow players, and the other servers to be used only by normal ones. How about it?

@Zup: please, Zup, dont take me wrong. I am just trying to help find a solution instead of just being yet another complainer.

NO. This is literally the worst idea I've ever heard. I REFUSE to be put on a "special needs"server, because some morons that don't have the perfect world they want don't like that I'm not rich enough to have ideal internet. I was joking yesterday, but I'm serious right now. You don't like it, go play Pacman. We've had our ups and downs, pedrinho, but this might be the DUMBEST thing you've ever said. I don't lag EVERY game, and i have just as much right to fair competition with EVERYBODY as you do. This is ridiculous. Scrap this idea, and this thread, RIGHT NOW.

I don't know if its possible but why not use ping values to determine the server choice in some way. For those who don't know what I am talking about:

So either have the server auto selected by lowest ping value or have a list of available servers so long as your ping value was below a certain threshold. I personally prefer the second method since then you can coordinate with friends. Those with excellent connections will have many servers to choose from and those with poor connections would have to play on the best server for them and at least the lag would be minimized.

I suggest you drop your childish attitude 'RIGHT NOW', Pedrinho is a much loved and very respected member of this community , if you don't like someone's opinion I suggest you play pack an or even better, don't play anything.

I paid money for this game, have never committed a bannable or mutable offense, and have just reached several important goals in my career. I have no intentions of leaving the Dogfight community at any time, and i fail to see how Pedrinho's comments are anything but discriminatory.

What you say (or mostly THE WAY you say) have NO IMPORTANCE to me, Melkor. Calling me a discriminator is a joke. You dont know me. I will completely IGNORE any position of yours on this subjects (lag and discrimination).

There is nothing wrong with allocating server resources based on connection speed.. it's not like someone would be put into a 'special needs' server as Mac put it.. rather it would just be making the game more equitable for all players by making it more enjoyable for all players involved.. from what you described Mac it can't be all that fun.
After reading what you wrote Mac on that other thread directed at myself & Darraxx I was moved by your plight, and tried to understand the frustration you must go thru at times! And I DON'T lump you in with some of the Liga do Brazil pilots & others that seem to revel in their laggyness & even go so far as to boast about their 'bullet shields' in mission chats!

And yes, I can understand you not wanting to be excluded from playing with your friends or other pilots.

But ultimately this won't be decided on the basis of Pedrinho's Petition.. but rather zuperman will of course do whatever he decides is in the best interests of the game itself.

McMelkor, whoever you are. Have you noticed how few thanks your posts get? You are a flamer. Calm down and leave people alone if it's not really that important. Ped is a great guy just sounding off like we all do from time to time.

And, Predrinho, not supposed that its the reason the servers are divided in regions? assumes that everyone should play in your region

not my thing but why dies everyone have to complain about lag? Its always going to be there either player connection or server laggin no matter what its there.I think people should let Zup do something about if and when HE desides that it is a problem for the game. Zup don't need people trying to tell him what to do with his game he made. I'm sure he may like others opinions and feed back. I know I'm tired of laggy people and hope he does do something about it like makes it were you only play in your region (Which is the region you pick when you first installed game and picked one). That would be a pain to playing with friends etc but may limit some lag but not all cause like I said the lag won't go away. So I don't agree with special needs servers as Mac put it!!! That's my opinion like it or not that's your choice

I think there is a point being missed. Normal lag is just a part of the game. I think most will accept that.

I think the main complaints are against the few who can control it.

Maybe ping os a good idea to limit some nas conns, but I think just Zup os able to deside that. If u dont like The lag u can always change The server or can even leave, but if u have nothing else to do and spend The whole day playin, forget my words and just search some psycho clinic, cuz u have bad probs!!!
