For any of y'all who don't know, there has been some serious weather activity in my area recently. I got my power restored late this afternoon, but many of my friends and customers are still without power or even shelter. An F3 tornado came through the town nearest to me on 4/27/14 that caused massive damage and some casualties. Mayflower AR and Vilonia AR have both been hit hard by this severe storm. Luckily my family and I made it through safely up on our hill, but some in town have not been so fortunate. Any and all prayers would be greatly appreciated for those still in need. Thanks.

I am very glad you are ok. 'Tis the season for the really bad ones... I remember spending many a worried moment in my neighbors storm shelter when I lived there. They are simply no joke.

If you run into any specific need that is not being met, and that a redneck trucker could somehow help with, let me know.

Jacob i had no idea you were an Arky! I live up above Clinton myself. One of my daughters friends in Mayflower lost their home, cars, everything including their dog. They are alive because they had gone to family nearby for shelter.

I'm not a wealthy man, but I am a very creative one. If there is anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask.

As always in these cases the community rallies to help in any way they can. Thrre are many donation points and fundraisers going as we speak. All i could say is, if you can help out by volunteering to help, even just to help clean up for a day, it would mean a great deal. You never know when you could be the next one. Good folks, bad folks, rich or poor, tornados dont care. Some of the folks in Vilonia have been wiped out for the second time in 3 years.

There are a lot of businesses and organizations providing food and water. Mayflower high school is using its gymnasium for shelter and showers. While I was at work today we were told that boxes, tape, socks, and gloves are needed for those who are trying to gather what they have left. Our store has been giving all the boxes we can but its still not enough.
