Thanks to all for submitting for the "age bracket.
 U gave. Now its time for me to give back. The results....... Age 0-20...22% 21-39...20% 40+ ...57% 57%    This proves outright, Online mutiplayer games are NOT the sole domain of geeky kids! They are for "OLD F@RTS" too!

Wow I can't believe it, players in this game have more older adults than less old adults and teenagers. I'm one of the 22% of teenagers since I'm only 17

This study only surveyed those of us who participate on the forums, and doesn't necessarily reflect the entire Dogfight community in general. In fact, the forum community is a very small percentage of the entire game. I believe Zuperman mentioned that there were over half a million unique in-game names. Of those 500,000; about 100 of us are somewhat active in the forums (and that's being generous). That's 0.02% of the population. Of that 0.02%, how many participated in the age survey?
You simply cannot make a conclusion of an entire population by examining a fraction of it. The sampling frame is much too small and biased to accurately represent it. However, we can safely assume that the older fellas dominate the forums. Like VonHulk said, the younger players are more than likely just here to shoot, not to post and whatnot. You are also correct that "geeky kids" aren't the sole domain of video games! The average gamer is a male in his 30's, with a stable family and career. Gamer demographics are actually pretty interesting:

I think us "Old Farts" like this game because we don't have to press 8 different buttons in the right order at the exact right time just to kick someone in the head!
Yea Dogfight and Rock'em Sock'em Robots and we are in Heaven. Maybe a little Candy Crush!

I prefer the term "experienced" over "older" !!!!!!
It more clearly communicates that we get better with practice, and us "experienced" guys have had a lot of practice !!!

lol. If I was old enough to be retired or even out of school for that matter I would maybe get enough time to fly and get in the top 10.
