I've fished and hunted ducks up there. I'm off Lake Wylie. My people were Swiss converts to Moravianism and moved to North Carolina and founded a town called Salem, now Winston-Salem.

Just on the out skirts of the NOOG is a Mountain, Signal Mountain, if you go over it, it lets you off in a beautiful valley. in a town called Dunlap. A great friend of mine moved there, i used to go see him every Thanksgiving. Now he moved back to Florida, no more Mountains ;-(

Nice to know there's another California girl here! When I lived on my sail boat, it was docked at Coronado. My dad also was stationed at the navel base but as a Nave Seal, he's now retired so we just moved to TN so we could start our natural farm and he could continue his music career in Nashville.

The Congress lives about 100 miles or one hour from Ohio's Execution Chamber (formerly the holding spot of Ol Sparky) and about 5 minutes from the funnest Amusement Park in Ohio, Kings Island.

I'm from San Clemente California a small beach side community in Southern California known for exceptional climate and great surf breaks. It is the most southern city in Orange County and borders Camp Pendelton Marine Base.

San Clemente is known for its world class surf break called Lower Trestles and turns out more pro surfers than any other city in the world.

Erm its nice? Weather can be sucky but apart from that and the taxes on everything, theres even a tax for taxes hehe, I will be moving in the next couple of years to wiltshire which is beautiful. I will agree with you on Rye, the old cobbled roads and tudor building are very quaint.

I live in East Jordan, MI, home to one of the first Iron Works, which makes manhole covers, fire hydrants, and all other kinds of doo-dads and whats-its the company is called EJ now, but if you have one of the older manhole covers in your town, you will probably see "East Jordan Iron Works" written along the edges but East Jordan really is a beautiful place, and I love living here most of the time... XD
