This has been bugging me for a long time. This is for all the players who quit when things are tough.

Do you think that WIG, B.S. VONHULK, ect. ect ect got to their high raking positions by quitting every time a top rated player game into the game or kept getting shot down time after time. I SAY NO. They kept fighting until the end and were better for it.

When I first started these folks pummeled me without mercy. I just don't let things defeat me. When I see a new player come into the game it doesn't take long for me to know if they will end up being a top player or just average depending on how they act around losing conditions.

My point is do not quit, stay and fight. Learn. Study the habits of these folks. Study the game.

All the time now I see phases like "that's it I'm done", or how about "he's here we have no chance", or " I'm outta here".

Yes sometimes I like easy games but as a whole i would much rather see these players as red, it sharpens my skill.

I never saw this attitude much when I first started.

Thanks.Davy I always try to fight hard to the end i took my time to learn form the top players even you after you took my lunch money. Over learned The hard way. I've paid my due. Hell bro I didn't get to a.positive k/d until I made moraf but it all made me a better pilot. I didn't take the easy way out I like many others fought hard and made it. Not like these new wonders that make moraf in a couple of months. They don't know what the scoring system was like back then. They have it easy and they play the same way. I for one like a good game but the guys that want to play easy make those a rear occasion now

Spot on Sir Davy, you wont see me quit, being outnumbered by good players only makes you better.
I am gratefull for all I have learned from all the players like you who have beat up on me and answered any questions Ive had.
So thanks for repetitive beatings I improve daily because of them.

Well, as more players join, it's gonna be harder to weed out those with bad attitude. I have quit one or two games recently, but I'm desperately trying to get as many kills s deaths, and Mac vs. Davy, wig, and Buckgeo simply isn't gonna help me. I will never quit if I have 2 or more teammates depending on me, and I know they won't quit. But by myself, I find no reason to stay sometimes. I'm level 18, so I feel I have properly learned how to play this game

Got to disagree . I've been playing for 16 months and still can't hit the side of a barn most games. Cannot do all those spiral turns don't know which way I'm going when I do,not for a lack of trying just can't get my head around it so I just fly level and shoot head on but when a moraf comes into game I'm usually toast, after 10 min of havin my ass handed to me ive had enough and I'll go for a game with less talent.

Nice Statement there Davy:) I've been playing for 6 months now and the motto I've followed is "never quit" I'm not becoming a sharper shooter by shooting noobs, I've been learning by watching observing and now challenging the Pro's of the game. Yes there are times when there is no chance of winning, but just stick in there and give it your best shot:)

P.S. Shooting noobs may help you become a good "noob killer" but I believe you can learn more by going against the top players.

Wow..definitely a fitting topic. Its been tough lately getting some reds to stick around. Just yesterday, one said, "Im out.". Several reds left the game...possibly just dc. I've definitely had my share of hinies handed to me. I stayed in the games and amassed a good couple grand deaths higher than kills. It wasn't until around levels 24 or 25 before the number of deaths and kills began reversing. I didn't learn by quitting. Some seems to quit when their deaths go higher than kills with the idea of saving a kdr. They will make moraf....but without skill to shoot like a moraf. Of course I still struggle with players like Davey, dentin, Marko, max and a couple others.. But I won't quit.

Well said Mr Cannon, I'm nearly lvl 23 and still have 1000 more deaths but that gap is decreasing daily now and its because I stay in nomatter whos ingame

I agree with you guys.
Don't quit because of a high ranked player spwan as red.
Don't quit because you are outnumbered.
Stay and fight, chances are that you get help after a while.
Me and a lot of other players often change side to help an outnumbered player, and if we do, DON'T quit on us. If you do you will ruin your chances ever getting help again.

And if you are on the team outnumbering the reds... play with honor.
Don't drop and camp.
Don't sneak.

I lost all of my respect for a high ranked player yesterday.
I won't name the clown but I hope he read this. Know that in my book you are no better then stache and will be treated the same way.

Well.put bell. I have changed sides.to help out only to have them.quit and leave me hanging. So to those pilots when I see you alone. So be it you will.get no help from me again. But there are times when I want to see what a pilot has to offer. Is he going to run when out numbered and also his attitude. I use this technique to see if he would be a good fit for our squad. As we want pilots that will not run from a fight but fight harder. When the chips are down

I personally can't name the number of 4,5,6,7 v me games I have stayed in and lost or had the tides turn and won because I made a conscious decision early on that staying would only make me better. Had a couple of recent outnumbered games in which the wave of reds would come and be repeatedly shot down and returned to base. I love those games. Being outnumbered is a privilege not to be taken lightly. Even if it was a bunch of Morafs against me, I would take it as an opportunity to get better.

I haven't quit a game. Okay, Okay, I might've quit once or twice when I turned level 8, only to join another deadly game. After about the 2nd time I realized I wasn't getting an easier game  So from then on I stuck out the hard games, and my KDR went positive by level 21 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: A couple of yall probably remember when I thought I wouldn't be able to use my Windows PC anymore, so started trying to fly on my tablet. Had games like 1 kill and 16 deaths :pinch: I stuck em out though B)

Thank you Davy and others. I feel I've learned from this thread. I'll start striving to make a point of staying in tough takes. That ratio thing really bothers me though, but I'll try to ignore it until I've got "Marshall" in my title

Might lose conncetion, but half the time i get back in when the servers permit. Most memerable game was with Denthead ans bellsja and a few others. I was flying as Rocky Balboa and i read Bellsja what bell put. This Kid from philly is kicking our butts. Lol I lost, but i stuck it out. Next time guys go easy. That game hurt me! :P

I would like to say that the only time I leave the game is if phone hits the battery warning and on my phone it kicks me out of the game totally.. or if life outside of game happens while I'm in the game.

Folks,

Just remember that sometimes phones calls (that's why I bought a "deaf" tablet); remember that, sometimes, batteries runs out of juice; remember that, sometimes, doors knocks; sometimes, children squeezes their little fingers on cabinet's doors; sometimes wives sends their husbands for dish-washing... Remember that some players have a life. And in most circumstances, they don't even have enough time to send an ingame message telling why they are quiting the game. Often my case.

And most important: we need to stop judging other players, we need to stop defecating game-rules, we need to stop dictating game-behavior patterns/standards. There are different players, from different countries, with different cultures. And we don't need to stress that this is NOT a training for real war. This is not about learning for life. It is just a darn game!! This is just about HAVING FUN!!!!

And it's this "having fun" factor what makes me understand Heff006's point (although I am an addicted, so I love playing against aces, so I don't mind at all being massacrated, and I ALWAYS stay to the end of missions, unless I am forced to quit for the mentioned reasons).

I don't know him (Heff006), so I am taking the risk of defending a teamkiller or something like that (hope not!) - but for what I saw here, Heff006 had guts to write what he wrote. What is the problem if he chooses to stop being knocked out? If there is a real problem on just playing this game like he does, we need to ask Zup to ban players that doesn't keep their butts to the end - but then, we would end having EVERYBODY banned, because all of us sometimes get disconnected from the game (when not by the servers, we need to disconnect for the reasons I already mentioned).

Oh, I am not hypocrite (at least I try hard not being hypocrite): we all, human beings, judge others - that's an undeniable FACT. After all, we NEED to judge others, otherwise how could one choose a girl to date, or how could one decide about who are and who are not going to be his/her friend? So, judgement is not a sin "per se", as it is important for SURVIVAL matters (even a female dog judges her candidates for procreation)... But from this forum/game perspective, I just believe that most of our judgements should NOT be published, to prevent some people from being unfairly humiliated in public.

Don't I like this or that player? I simply say "sorry, gtg", and go for another server. And if/when a player meets me on the new server and asks ironicaly something like "Hey, don't you get to go? Why are you still here?" I simply ignore him - or, at most, I simply say "Not of your business". I don't need to explain everything to everyone (I know how to be rude when I want...)

And by the way, I LOVE SHOOTING YOUR PLANE, you bully!!!
(I am your fan, Davy, you already know that)

And paraphrasing [M]acLaren: "Winners never quit, quitters never win... And whiners never stop"

I took the RED PILL!

I hope my post didn't come across as judgmental. The only player I can factually mention was the one who said im out. I'd rather my post be encouragement as I had a rocky start to DF. I recently had the privilege of being 1 against 7...5 of those were MOM morafs. I could have left, but then I would have lost the satisfaction of watching one go down after the other. It was a good game though I lost and I still had a much larger kill to death ratio for the game. I found it a challenge to me and opted to take it on. It is definitely understandable that playing on a mobile device, we can be and are kicked for unforeseen circumstances.

Davy, just saying, you don't really have to worry at all about having to quit, seeing as your so good at killing reds. ;) So, does that make this a thread about you complaining that people never stay to fight against you?

I agree with much of what was written by both Davy AND Pedrinho..

Something that gets me wondering.. why so many players leave when it's obvious the game is lost? (i.e. the bar graph on a capture the carrier mission is just about to hit blue or someone has 14 kills in df mission) Don't they realize they are throwing away 300 points by leaving before the 'you lost' leaderboard pops up? Do they think that the 'loss' counts against their wins??
