Folks,
Just remember that sometimes phones calls (that's why I bought a "deaf" tablet); remember that, sometimes, batteries runs out of juice; remember that, sometimes, doors knocks; sometimes, children squeezes their little fingers on cabinet's doors; sometimes wives sends their husbands for dish-washing... Remember that some players have a life. And in most circumstances, they don't even have enough time to send an ingame message telling why they are quiting the game. Often my case.
And most important: we need to stop judging other players, we need to stop defecating game-rules, we need to stop dictating game-behavior patterns/standards. There are different players, from different countries, with different cultures. And we don't need to stress that this is NOT a training for real war. This is not about learning for life. It is just a darn game!! This is just about HAVING FUN!!!!
And it's this "having fun" factor what makes me understand Heff006's point (although I am an addicted, so I love playing against aces, so I don't mind at all being massacrated, and I ALWAYS stay to the end of missions, unless I am forced to quit for the mentioned reasons).
I don't know him (Heff006), so I am taking the risk of defending a teamkiller or something like that (hope not!) - but for what I saw here, Heff006 had guts to write what he wrote. What is the problem if he chooses to stop being knocked out? If there is a real problem on just playing this game like he does, we need to ask Zup to ban players that doesn't keep their butts to the end - but then, we would end having EVERYBODY banned, because all of us sometimes get disconnected from the game (when not by the servers, we need to disconnect for the reasons I already mentioned).
Oh, I am not hypocrite (at least I try hard not being hypocrite): we all, human beings, judge others - that's an undeniable FACT. After all, we NEED to judge others, otherwise how could one choose a girl to date, or how could one decide about who are and who are not going to be his/her friend? So, judgement is not a sin "per se", as it is important for SURVIVAL matters (even a female dog judges her candidates for procreation)... But from this forum/game perspective, I just believe that most of our judgements should NOT be published, to prevent some people from being unfairly humiliated in public.
Don't I like this or that player? I simply say "sorry, gtg", and go for another server. And if/when a player meets me on the new server and asks ironicaly something like "Hey, don't you get to go? Why are you still here?" I simply ignore him - or, at most, I simply say "Not of your business". I don't need to explain everything to everyone (I know how to be rude when I want...)
And by the way, I LOVE SHOOTING YOUR PLANE, you bully!!!
(I am your fan, Davy, you already know that)
