LOL! Thanks Congress.. our stripes also work to keep off common horse flies here in America as good as they do for tsetse flies in Africa.. but the most important reason I think for our stripes is that since lions are colorblind the black & white stripes confuses them when we are gathered as a 'dazzle' of zebras.. therefore giving any particular zebra a greater chance to stay outta the lions tummy!
