There are many threads about Water and how the game lags when flying over water. But I found a solution which worked for me on Windows 8.1 and Squad of 7 tried it on Kindle Fire HD and it works for him too.

Follow these steps :-
1. Reinstall the App
2. When it starts optimization, Close the App after 2 Levels of optimization and don't let it do the Level "Water should have more magic"
3. Start the app and now it will go directly to Main Menu.
4. Go to Settings > Graphics. Turn on Detailed Terrain, Shadow, Explosions if u like as they don't cause the lag. Only water does.
5. Now try playing any game and Luckily water will be Plain Blue

As you can see my Water is Plain Blue and there is no lag

You are a legend sire......makes so much difference..try not to kill u for a day or so...

i'd like to endorse this method of combatting the water lag. i tried it out and found the instructions to be easy to follow and dead on. except for me i need to stop before step 5 of optimization. either way, thank you so very much for the tip killer!

Does it lag too even w/ Nvidia Graphics card? Cause i'm using one in my PC.
