hey guys, I know ive asked this before, but do the carriers have names?
And if now, can we give them official names? In real life, all boats, no matter its importance or strength, had some sort of name, especially military boats. So what do yall say, should we officially name the boats?

HMS Argus was a British aircraft carrier that served in the Royal Navy from 1918 to 1944. She was converted from an ocean liner that was under construction when the First World War began, and became the first example of what is now the standard pattern of aircraft carrier, with a full-length flight deck that allowed wheeled aircraft to take off and land.

On 18 January 1911, a plane flown by Eugene Ely from the Tanforan airfield in San Bruno, California landed on a platform constructed on the afterdeck of the Pennsylvania. This was the first successful aircraft landing on a ship, and the first using a tailhook apparatus, thus opening the era of naval aviation and aircraft carriers.

Later, as a symbol of American might and concern, she served as flagship for Admiral William B. Caperton—Commander in Chief, Pacific Fleet—during South American patrols and visits during World War I. Cooperating with the British, she scouted German raiders and acted as a powerful deterrent against their penetration of the eastern Pacific.

Good idea!
Naming them with complete words could be nice, but not too practical for gaming purposes; thinking about easy directions for chat communication, i believe they should have short, fast typed names... How about www for west carrier, and eee for east carrier?
(I know, its dummie, ugly, obvious, but PRACTICAL - way faster and easier to type than "west carrier" or "Minas Gerais" ;-)

Just so you know, the carrier in the west lake is named SARAH, and is my favorite. The east carrier is a two faced biatch named MISSIE, we don't really talk anymore. Don't tell her, but I miss her.

And they both dock near the port of Mianus.

Then again, I figure most of you have forgotten what the town's real name was...

Davy Crockett (the first one) died there along with several larger than life characters in the Texas War for Independence. Davy Crockett had lived a very storied life leading up to the event, but met his demise at the Alamo, which is in present day San Antonio Texas.

Why not Fly Magic and Duck Wing. Sure we got Duck Wing Mountain, but it's always an honor to have a boat named after you. East can be Magic, West can be Duck.

Thank u everyone for the input of the names for the carriers. I would really like to see the carriers have real and good names. Every boat should have a decent name.

And Doc I have to agree with you on this one. I really want one to be named S.S Magic for paul. He did so much for me and all the df community, he deserves something in his honor. The other one should be named in honor of another great and legendary pilot in df. I was thinking Bstrachan since he was our first MORAF and is our oldest flying pilot in df.

DAVY says, thank you PED for your interest on the alamo. It has a fascinating history.

It all started back in 1862. The president of the United States was DAVY CROCKETT. Well on Dec 7 1862 Mexico decided to attack Texas which is a part of the United States. Governor JIM BOWIE asked president CROCKETT for help in fighting off the Mexicans.

President DAVY CROCKETT put all the resources of the united states into saving Texas, president DAVY CROCKETT was so dedicated that he even went himself to the famous battle.

President CROCKETT at first tried to resolve the issue by using diplomacy. He offered the entire army of VICE ADMIRAL SANTA ANA jobs as LANDSCAPERS in Los Angeles CALIF. The negotiations failed, the Mexicans were demanding jobs as hotel workers, cooks and other high paying fast food industry jobs. PRESIDENT CROCKETT told MR. SANTA ANA to shove it. That infuriated the leader of MEXICO.

President Crockett made a deal with the vice admiral. They decided to have all their army's meet at a PLACE called THE ALAMO. If DAVY CROCKETT lost the battle then the agreement was the all the MEXICAN army could march into LOS ANGELES and take over The battle was fierce however PRESIDENT CROCKETT lost.

Hence the phase REMEMBER THE ALAMO.
