For everyone,

There is going to be a Civil War reenactment this May for the 150th anniversary of the Battle of the Wilderness. They are expecting 4000 reenactors both Union and Confederate combined. It is going to be at the Spotsylvania Court House. It is going to be a great event for all. It is on May 1-4.

Thanks,

Pretty cool bud. I was at the Gettysburg re-enactment quite a few years ago. Spectator not participating. What I remember most was the smell of black powder and sweaty wool! I have no idea how many were there participating but it was a bunch. As we were walking up to the place we were going to watch from we heard yelling to" get out of the way!" We had wandered into the middle of a cavalry skirmish about to begin. Thought maybe that was how some of the folks felt back in 1863.

I've watched a lot of Civil War stuff but don't have the time to play. I do get jealous when I see the Parrot Rifle and Napoleon crews in action.

I used to do a little French & Indian war stuff and attend various rendezvous in period garb, but mostly that was just to shoot blackpowder and drink underage. That jug was the only thing that stopped me from going pro.
