Hi all, If you are a fellow brother that is an Eagle Scout please leave a comment. I would like every Eagle to share with fellow brothers there Eagle story. Ill start: My Eagle project was at a new Civil War Park in our area. I completed a 100 ft split rail fence, planted 3 Dogwood trees, and built over 200 ft of mulch trails. I am now a silver palm Eagle Scout. I would love to here your story please leave comment. Thanks, [BACON] ZM You just got sizzled!!!!!!

Nice project ZM! Congrats for making it to the exhalted ranks of the Eagle Scouts! No I didn't make it to Eagle Scout.. I did go as far as Life Scout, but then girls & sports got in the way of my scouting.. something which to this day I regret.

Two Eagle Scouts in my family. My younger brother and I. This is proof that my parents are amazing people!!! I keep involved in scouting. Over the years I've been a Cub Scout leader, Boy Scout Leader, Merit Badge Counselor, and Committee Member. Every year I teach a 5 day course to new adult leaders. My favorite activity is still the pinewood derby. Each year 4 or 5 scouts knock on my door asking for help building theirs.
If you build it, I will come.......and bomb it !!! |

I'm (an old) one... W/ silver palm and a brotherhood member of O/A. I am very proud of that achievement, although it seems like a lifetime ago. I have daughters, I'm self employed, and I am usually 1000 miles from home, so being active in any form or leadership is just not going to happen anytime soon. But it is still close to my heart, and the more involved guys and current scouts have my deepest respect.

Wow LUNA, I'm impressed, what do you do in the NAVY?
I wasn't a scout but I did teach a GROUND SCHOOL course for the scouts.

im working my way there im right now a star scout awaiting his scout masters confrence and board of reveiw for life. my eagle project i hope will be something at historic fort wayne detroit.

My life other than school and dogfight is scouts!! I became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14. In addition, I will be a vigil member of the local OA lodge, and am trying to rank in Venturing. I have also earned a heroism award. Not trying to brag. But I've got a history with that organization. It is my life, and will forever be a part of it. I hiked at Philmont this past summer!!

I should have also shared this, but my project consisted of building 36 eastern blue bird nesting boxes for a local state park. It took about a year. The most memorable aspect of the project, came about a year after its completion when I returned to see if my project boxes had been put up. When I saw them, I saw an Eastern Blue bird fly through the bushes, and then I knew that I had made a substantial impact.

Stay in OA as long as you can. Too many scouts stay out or just go for the sash. I'm sure you've heard of sash and dashers. It is a great program with a lot of cool stuff (NOAC 2015) baby! Hope to see you there brother.

i am the vice president of my venture crew and ranks in venturing is total bull almost no one does it its pointless. just be in ventures for the fun and high adventure not for more ranks.

I too am a Eagle Scout. Class of 2010.
My Eagle project was a welcome sign/garden for a local park. Turned a small grass field into a small garden with close to 30 shrubs, flowers, and oriental grasses. I joined the OA but due to school activities was unable to progress further. I also had Brownsea/NYLT- National Youth Leadership Training and I am a fifth year Pipestone holder. "Trail the Eagle..."

the picture of me that made it into the papers after my eagle court of honor.
I am an Eagle with silver palm, the first in my troop to achieve either (only one to have an eagle palm). I am a brother hood member of the OA, as well as senior patrol leader. I'll post a current pic of me in full class A sometime... Eagle April 2, 2012 My project was building two sign boards/kiosks, two pvc stretching stations, and a bench for a flood control park.

me as of a few days ago...should have SPL patch on there...but don't yet
 
and my bells and whistles without me...and yes that is a silver palm on my eagle medal.
