Hi guys, I'd like to propose a Buy Points Day, where those of us who can afford to toss a few bucks Zup's way do so.

I propose Friday the 28th of Feb.


I've purchase points I don't need every now and then as a way of saying thanks to Zup for giving us such a cool game that hardly cost anything to buy.

You can buy from just $0.99!

I'm pledging $7.99, less than a movie ticket for the many hours of enjoyment I get from both the game and all of you here on the forum. Excellent value in my mind

If the total pledges go above $150, I'll up my pledge to #31.99 (in Australia that's not even 2 movie tickets).

I'm in, we will see how much I got when it comes around, but I'm with you on the fact that it's a pretty neat deal for not havng to cost anything.

I bought some just for this very fact the other day. I want to earn/work my way up the plane ladder, but I'm not gonna cry if some more points helps me along.

Zup, please fix the glitches before moving on to anything else. Carrier problems,Black water, lag over water etc etc

I don't think we should make it conditional that game repairs be made even though that would be nice... but rather a thanks for what we have and enjoyed for so long already for next to nothing. If I think of what I've spent on any type of entertainment, this is waaaaay less and it's still going. I am going to pledge through Thulsa since she can use the points but if we all did this I think we might find there are less problems soon. Money has a way of doing that.

I agree Whip, no conditions it's just a great game even with the bugs. Zup does well given its just him, and its not the only thing he is doing

No way. I refuse to pay incentive money to have a game fixed that I had to pay for already. Only the U.S. Government does crazy stuff like that. Fix the game & I might be inclined to buy the rest of the points I need for upgrades...warranty work, if you will. Until that happens, DF will get exactly zero extra dollars from me & much less of my time.

This is not about a bribe to fix bugs. It's just a way yo show or thanks to zup for his hard work. If it takes him a day to fix a bug, the 2 days of QA, then a few measly $ doesn't make it worth his time. i appreciate his efforts.

Agreed. The money that I will be giving for Buy Points Day is by no means a bribe, far from it actually.

Most games around now try and suck the money out of you, like if you die or crash you need to spend money on repairing yourself just so you can keep playing. This game you pay a simple $5 at the start just to make the adds disappear and then your set for life.

If you ask me I've never gotten such good value for my money considering the amount of hours of enjoyment I've gotten back out of it. And yea there are glitches here and there but they won't last forever, I believe they are outweighed by the good parts of the game and also this awesome community that Zup has brought together here.

The money I give is just my way of saying a huge thank you to Zup and the Echoboom team. And if they use that money to help fix the bugs? Then that's just a bonus!

That's nuts that he is the only one who works on this. He must be a busy guy. I have often wondered about the upkeep of the servers and such. I am apart of a few, very few, forums. One of them have a drive every now and then for server upkeep, and the other uses advertising.

I'm game for next friday, no strings attached. I might even buy some for a friend who I got addicted to this game.

Hi all Friday is here for those of us on the other side of world. I'm trying to purchase the points but Google is adding a 25% premium to the exchange rate! Making US$99.98 = AU$156 ! (it should be 116 with normal mark up I'd pay when buying in USD). I'm trying to work it out with Google or pay in US$ since my credit card will give a much better rate.

I should be good for the 31.99 and still think its all well worth it.

Yeah google are gouging bad on the exchange rate. I got 2M points in the end, USD63 worth, cost me AUD96. almost criminal when the current rate is .89.

Insane hammer I did though Google one time and they charged a fee can't quite remember what it was but the last two times including today I did through apple store and 1M points is 31.99 of course nothing final until dust clears later today but so far no extra charges through apple at least in USA.

I got mine in. Last time it took forever to show up, but I hear apple is slow with this sort of thing.

It was close to a week when mine did. I got lucky and caught Zup in world chat the next day(had been 24 hours), and he credited me them. Then, I got more later in the week.

This time around its different. Sure, I would like to have some because I am itching to get the SE5, but I am fine waiting. My spad is wore out, needs an engine over haul, and people have put way to many bullet holes in her. She just does not fly so well anymore, especially against those stinking stripped planes. And with so many people getting them these days its making things hard...

The bullet holes make it go faster! The SE5 is nice, but I still drop back to the spad every now and then
