I know by reading many posts that a large group here do pray. I have a significant request if you would add it to your list. My sister, 38 years old was battling cancer for a while. She left Maine to take care of some stuff in NY and had some issues for which she went to the ER;that was last year. She was advised to make an appt. with her oncologist in Maine, which she did. Not a month later, her tests came back clear...thanks to all the prayer. My dad passed in 98 @and my mother in 2008 after a long illness. I don't have contact with my brother and have not in years, probably because of mental illness; we don't get along very well. Anyway, a long time friend from where my sister lives sent me a message on Facebook stating that donna (my sister) has been told she has cancer and that tests are still coming in. She has yet to say something to me and we are close. Anyway, she is too young, and younger than I... This has been a tough part, losing my family members. I wanted to share this with you all and ask that you keep us in prayer. Thank you.

Thank you all. I was able to make contact with my other friend. It turns out when he said donna, I automatically assumed my sister because she dealt with it last year. But please keep him in prayer.. His wife's name is also donna. I don't have contact with her, but I do have contact with him. His name is Craig and he is a believer. I know the road my sister was on and its a hard road. He will need strength and peace to get through this. He was involved in a bad accident a couple years ago and has been since rehabilitating. I will say it is a weight listed in a sense and idk how I could be so selfish in automatically thinking he meant my sister.

The power of prayer can be great, nevertheless lets GODS will be done. We will add you to our prayer list. Let me know if we can do anything else for you ok.

An update. I spoke with my other friend and they received text results. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer..liver I think and was informed she has 6 months to a year. I haven't heard back again from him. Just wow...I was at a loss for words. He credits me for leading him to Christ years ago.

Mike,so sorry to hear about your friends health issue and your losses of family members. I wish there were words I could put here that would ease your troubles my friend, I know you must be beside yourself about what the future holds for your friends.

Its said so very much that it seems as though it has lost its meaning, one must rememer this time here is borrowed. Today, the here and now is just as it is named. The present, is a gift. make the most of it. love your friends and loved ones cherish your family and know your time is important to only those you will miss. Make the most of your time with your sister, for the both of you. Your a good friend with a big heart your friend is lucky to have you in the circle.

I lost my dad to cancer a few years ago I know how you feel...Here are some word I offer.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “ …Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”


Psalms 138:3 On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.


Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.


Matthew 11:28-29 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Obtain for me the grace to answer every call of God and to fulfill His will in all the events of life. Enkindle in my heart a consuming zeal for the salvation of all men.
