Hey, is anyone running DF on an iPad Air? How's it run? Good tablet? We're in the market for a tablet, and might as well expand our search beyond just android. Looking for thin and light, 10" screen, mostly to have a portable monitor for viewing security cameras (and occasional dogfighting!).

Talk to BlueMax, he bought one, played for a while. Put it down. Said it was to light. Went back to IPad 2 or 4.

ALL IN 100%

He said it wasn't as stable aiming as the iPad 4, and that it's too sensitive.
Without seen it myself I think the aiming is some whats it like on a galaxy s4.

You should try a GALAXY NOTE 3, 2014 edition.
Has a higher resolution video (2560*1600 pixels), a quad core processor and memory, more than any ipad (and a lower price, at least in Italy).
The only doubt remains on the sensitivity of the gyroscope and accelerometer by control the aircraft.

Two weeks ago I got the galaxy tab 2, it was 10 inch. I did not like it however some other high ranking folks love it. I put it down for my ipad which to me is so much better, I have 11 security cameras that I monitor from my ipad.

Ipad is coming out with a 13 inch in March, I cant wait to try that.

The tablet is really nice. Light and very fast running. Sound is the best of any ipad out there.

I hated it for playing the game though. Really touchy. Brought my K/D way down because you can't steady it. In turning fights i over shot more often.

Graphics are the same as my 4 and it plays this game much better. I gave it to my wife. The 4 weighs twice as much and is a bit larger around the edges.

All in all, excellent tablet. Just not the best for DF. Light, big, and very fast.

I've been on Ipad Air for months, and now that the few glitches for i0S7 have been cleared up 2 updates ago, its a fantastic device.
I have multiple top end devices on all platforms (Android, Windows 8, Apple/ios) and I can say that after finally coming up with an almost fool'proof home button guard,
I would not play with anything other than my iPad Air. (until the next newest one ;) )

Hello Von,
After having the same tragic response to hitting the home button in the middle of a great game never to find my way back, I went on a mission of engineering several complicated models to finally end up with just a simple metal binder clip.
At first I used the smallest one and removed the top swinging handle, and replaced it with a guard made from a paper clip that swings out of the way when the home button is needed, however my freaky fingers actually found a way to still hit it.
So I now have the next size up metal binder clip (2nd to the smallest).
After carefully clipping it over the side of the tablet with the home button, I then simply remove the handle that's on the face, and then replace it when I need to remove for charging etc.
Please keep in mind Im on the ipad air, and the binder clips are perfect size for this tablet, also I did un stress the clip just a bit by opening over a round tool to make it have a little less pressure on the tablet screen.
Hope this helps Von to stay calm, any other questions please feel free to ask my fellow Dogfighter!
Have a great day, and happy killing!
