Stuart, This has been a problem for a while. I have not stayed in a carrier game in ages. When you are attacking the west carrier, you can see planes "hovering" outside the carrier, like they are suspended next to it, at lower deck level. They shake a bunch, but you can hit them with bullets. When you are one of the pilots defending / sitting on the west carrier and you land inside, it all looks fine, like you are inside the walls. But then magically, someone flies by outside and kills you. So maybe there's ghost data of you outside, fully hittable.

I've seen it reported, but no fix yet. I figured Z has other things higher on his list, so I haven't added to the reports. (Besides, I don't often have enough time to play out a full game of Capture Carrier.) Maybe a mod can please move this thread to Support?

Yeah, I don't land under the carrier any more...anyone landing under appears hovering to the side on my screen...easy and cheap kill :)

I believe it is just the west carrier. At the very least, it is definitely west, and I haven't seen it on east, but I haven't played CTC in a while.

Neither carrier "works" properly.

In a capture the carrier game, as soon as a plane lands it "shuffles" sideways and appears to be parked in mid-air at deck height some ways off of the carrier. When I land on the carrier it appears to me that I am in the right place but when reds come into sight and begin shooting they are usually aiming for spot as described above. Sometimes a plane which has landed on the West carrier appears on the East carrier and can be shot down by someone on the East. Other blues often appear in he right place, again, reds target them over to he side.

It's a bummer. It's useless to land on the bottom deck, and you can't take cover from an incoming red by parking on the other side of the carrier's tower.

In a bomb the carrier game, a spawning plane will first appear in a place off of the deck. It will then quickly "shuffle" to the deck and become airborne. When a red has been shot down, you can often see their name/squad tag (as it appears over their plane in-game) go fling across the landscape. Sometimes it takes several seconds for it to get back to their carrier. You can often see their dot streaking across the map.

In addition to the other madness, at spawn I often roll off the back of the deck despite a firewalled throttle & brakes on. There's nothing I can do to stop the crash.
