Okay now. I issued a permanent forum ban on the god of gods. I notified my fellow mods prior to my action and I have seen enough. He is banned for causing strife here on the forum. ( Grant it that many here egged him on which may have seemed harmless but in the end caused confusion and unnecessary trouble.) He has also intimidated many here on the forum and has posted many untimely (rude and ignorant) posts...His ban is long over due and now his avatar, posts etc..are all gone!! No more!!Let's move on and continue the forum on its original intent. If y'all thought the forum was getting boring and needed excitement? Then find it elsewhere. This was the wrong kind..

However, as I've always maintained, keeping the evidence is better than deleting it, as public memory will start to fade. That manufactures lenience toward another TGOG at some time in the future, and IMO that is not so good. But the net action is terrific, thanks again.

Gen Jack, THANK YOU for your actions on the ban of tgog. It started of kinda entertaining. Then started to progressively go down hill. I have recived several phone calles from him with in the last few weeks. Then other Misfits have recived them as well. This is harassment in its own right.

Now not giving out phone numbers to any one, well i can see why! But if you trust your squad mates (friends) then why not? As i thought i trusted every MISFIT, and i still do. The ones i talk to daily! And some i dont get to talk to all that much. There are just a small group that i dont trust fully or at all!

It is sad to know that this person(s) betrayed our trust and pulled this crap out like this! Now, i hope that he is banned 100% from the game as well! Again Thank you Gen. Jack

The personal information was posted on the Misfits separate website and was not shared on the Dogfight forum. Even so it would be good for everyone to remember that internet personas are not always who they claim to be and that sharing any personal information anywhere can make you vulnerable.

I think he only caused strife to those easily susceptible to dissonance. No hero of mine, but he wasn't a threat to anyone that didn't get easily offended. Yes, he did post a couple times on threads without understanding or reading the two year history of context, but I note he also apologized for it. In a game about fighting it seems odd to ban someone for posting the equivalent of "I'll fight you and win" on the board.

I'll miss the goofball. Odd personalities and villains are what make games interesting.

Maybe not. Just saw the phone call thing in the preceding posts that were put up while I was typing this off and on.

I don't think Gen Jackson banned him for reasons of the phone calls, for which TGOG is only an *alleged* source. Read GJ's post again; he is pretty clear that TGOG was banned for causing strife on the forum through his posts.

Another mod wrote me back, and stated that the phone calls are (a) an issue outside of Dogfight because it was on another site, and (b) enabled by a really bad decision to post phone numbers to begin with. I'll add my own editorial comment, that while others and I will continue the investigation outside of our dogfight administrators, there is no current proof puts TGOG on the phone calls.

So please stop linking the phone calls to the ban. They are separate issues. If people keep doing that, at some point we will forget why TGOG was banned, the phone call source may wind up indeterminate, and someone with incomplete facts will demand TGOG's return. (Believe me, this is how it will play out, so please stop.)
