Just played a game against, Foust and Longrifle and Algenon.

I shot each of them many times...4-7 (reflected on screen). Never got a kill, but they killed me and everyone else without any trouble. Players were saying...what's the hecks going on.

Then Someone noticed they were all high ranking players.

Will I am a high ranking player and I wasn't having any luck.

Is this all about lag....., anyone or something else?

Doesn't make sense to play if you can't shoot a plane down.

Sometimes it's lag, other times it may be what i suspect to be a bug or a glitch. Some say it's a sound bug bc both hits will register on your enemies screen while you'll hear a single rink before exploding. I usually bounce between mess, vimy and borimov. If I'm having a good df day, i can give a moraf or two a run for their money. If not, I'm just cannon fodder. The glitch i hate is the one that makes fighting over water next to impossible. If i see planes jerking all over the place I'll quit and see how things are in another server.

There's plenty of bugs in the game. I can't reply to the forum on my phone or ipad, so this is late. In that game I never saw tracers to point out that you were firing, at me or anyone else. I saw your comments, but usually when one player has a problem that none of the other players have, it's that player. If all the players have the problem, it's the server. I think you had a bad connection.

It doesn't have anything to do with rank of the players. Trust me, I get my fair share of lead. Rather it's connection related on your side; often new or veteran players will lag and jump all over the place. This can be related to shared usage of bandwith, or distance from wifi hubs, or provider problems, or the weather. I shot several planes this weekend over 20 times to no effect, and was shot down by some who were pointing the other way or had passed without me seeing them fire in my directions. It happens. Foust and Algernon are good pilots, and play a fair game. I'm always happy to see them in blue.

As with most problems, Stuart -- lag. In this case, it appears your download speed was working just fine. But your ISP's upload speed was in the gutter. Because of this, your device is able to quickly download the "packets" of information (e.g the X-Y-Z axis value of a bullet and your plane -- registering as a hit), but unable to upload your own "packets" as quickly. Hence why it wasn't registering on other people's devices.

tl;dr lag
