I'd like EVERYBODY to stay clear of this. I appreciate your support but the Mods can and may retaliate how ever they see fit. And want I DO NOT WANT is a all out war against the moderators and the community, I have what I think are reasonable request for the Mods but thus far have met only sarcastic and disrespectful remarks and comments coming from the Mod squad. So again even if you agree with me or not please hold your remarks less you become a part of this possible mess by proxy.

I don't mind having a post or a thread deleted. I know I walk to close to the imaginary line sometimes and may on occasion step over it. Fine then delete it. But have the decency to PM me or whom ever and tell them what and why.. You say (we delete so many post a day we don't have that kind of time) ok fare enough, then when and if that person REPOST same and you delete then dont you think it prudent to PM then? I think it would stop a lot of this drama and pissing and moaning you do about deleting same post/threads multiple times.

I don't believe this is a unreasonable request.....

Transparency of moderator actions creates trust and respect for moderators. Hidden action creates distrust and discontent. That's an old sermon from me though. Manfred heard it a few times.

I think your request is reasonable Dave. I also figure that at least some of the mods will oblige, and some won't. That's the breaks. Good luck coming to a good solution for all parties involved.

Many of the deleted posts are deleted because they cross the line. Just think before you or anyone else posts!! It's called common sense. We should not have to give an explanation if these posts cross that line. This forum has many young people here and many older people also. I have recieved numerous pms about the smutt and trash that has been posted here. (Young and old) ...the complaints by many outweigh the certain few who post the trash. We can notify the one who posted about a certain post if it is questionable, but we mostly talk about the issue among ourselves and zuperman. Basically, just use common sense and say to yourselves "is this what I want young people to see or any one for that matter" If you or anyone wants to post garbage here? Then expect it to be deleted. If it continues after some warnings? Expect to be banned. We do our job the best we can and yes all us mods have different view points (some conservative and some liberal) but it works out just fine after we discuss these issues with each other. On many very extreme matters, zuperman is the deciding factor. It's a shame forums even need moderators but seeing some people lack common sense? Well then I guess mods are needed. Imagine what this forum would be like if there were no mods here.....just guess?

As always Jackson you take a stance it's my way or the highway, I'm really not surprised by this considering you and I have butted heads many times before of this subject. But I contend if you don't like a post or a thread and fill it needs to be removed then why not let the person know why? Most here won't argue about it. But no you seem to look forward to drama thats sure to follow. I for one will repost anything that's deleted if no one tells me who or why it was deleted. I think its a cowardly act and a borderline abuse of ones position and authority over others. I wonder how long it will be before you ether Lock or Delete this thread because it questions your judgment in these matters? And even then I doubt you'll have the consideration to send a PM. I did say that if it crosses the line, it will be deleted without the one who posted being notified. You will be notified if the post is questionable:) It's not being cowardly to delete a post with no warning. You and others should know what you should post in the first place. I probably don't want my kids seeing much more than you do yourself. My point is there is a huge grey area on this subject. Even worse is that the mods standards differ so greatly. The players' do too.

I'm glad that you have the assurance from the powers that be that your word is law and that you don't have to explain yourself. That's wonderful. But, if you don't want to be considered a complete joke, you probably might outta think about either A: saying nothing at all or B: take 3 seconds to go ahead and let us know how we screwed up. I promise you that it will make a world of difference. Or at this point in this case WOULD have made a world of difference.

I'm gonna leave this to you and Doc. Doc is my friend, so I want this to resolve well for him. But, he is also a grown man almost twice my age, and in real life a damn wise one too. He has my full respect. He also now has the floor.

I feel I can't just stand by and say nothing in this matter.
You and I have had our small "fights" resently, but in this I'm with you.

We all want this forum to function, and most of us don't want to cross the line, but where is that line?
Most if not all mods are from USA, but the forum users are from all over the world. What is and what isn't pg 13 isn't the same everywhere in the world.

If I were to cross the line and one of my posts were deleted, I very much would like to know why, and what I did to cross that line so I don't do it again.

I know you feel you have no obligation to explain yourself why, but if you don't, how am I supposed to know what not to do?
If I feel I did nothing wrong with my post I most likely will post something similar again, but if I get a pm telling me this or that isn't ok to post I wouldn't do it again because I like this forum too.

It's not because you should defend why you locked or deleted I would like a pm, but to know why and what not to post again.

Again I'm sorry Dave, but I felt I hade to point out that the view of things differs around the globe, and that the mods have to take that into consideration.

I to have wonder why posts are deleted without any explanation and I know that you mods don't owe us one,but down here in the part of the south I'm from , we got a little thing called common courtesy.

Well, I did say if a post crosses the line then no explanation should be needed and a questionable post will be pointed out to the one who posted it. Basically the line is "would you want your child of 13 seeing it?" Now I'm sure there may be some here who don't care what their kids watch. The line is just that....do you want your kids to see it. As I said, I often get many pms and emails of complaints about what is posted here. I do the job I feel is the best I can do. As far as deleting bad posts without notifying the one who posted it? C'mon now!! Should you really need a pm to tell you not to post something that is obviously past the line? .......I do believe we all know what the line should be.

@ crazywolf.....common courtesy? I was taught in the south that certain things are proper and others are not. As a man and a gentleman, I know what is proper for ladies and children (at least as I was taught ) it's common courtesy to respect ladies and children by not posting certain things. There are young kids here and girls who do not like what is posted. Until I am removed from being a mod or zuperman sets us mods in line with what is really past the line. I will stand on what I believe is to be proper.

This is my final post on this matter. Yall can squabble if you wish. I do not have any hatred in me towards any of you. I am just doing what I see as proper.

Im with the players on this. Noones a mind reader jack and if any punitive action is taken against me i expect to be told why too. If noone can tell me what i did wrong or if they refuse to tell me why i was being punished, you bet ill call foul. And if the mods cant agree on what does and doesn't constitute crossing the line, then none of them should enforce anything. You have to have a clear standard of what it is you're not allowing before you can enforce it right? Just my opinion. And you can rest assured that if a fair standard isnt found and i start seeing a lot of long time players leaving bc of the lack of due process ill leave too. Id rather not play at all than worry if I'll be the next target of a mod witchhunt.

Let's try this again.... Where Bell is at, what is considered risqué is COMPLETELY different. For example, nudity on TV? The norm... I'm telling you man, your sensibilities, although very similar to mine, are nothing like some others.
