Well, here I go, once again: not to retire; quite; leave and never to return, but to take a leave of absence again. From the game, and quite frankly the forum; which, in my sole opinion, has become stagnate. Stagnate and repetitive and in many cases unreadable. Many things I do enjoy reading; such as the stories thread; and there are many other notable forum goers that have nice posts, so please, if the shoe fits wear it. I hate using that saying, but it seems to work here.
I take solace.
Solace in the fact that I am part of the Devil’s Dragons squadron. This in all reality has become less of a squadron to me, and more of a fellowship. And this has kept me going for the last few months since I have been a part of them; and will continue to be a part of them. What I am saying here to today is not news to any one of them. All my communication with them will continue via KIK.
The game itself:
Much the same as I feel for the forum. Stagnate and repetitive. It is truly the friendships that I have gained that drove me to continue playing; however, time zone differences have made that a challenge, and so the burnout and other issues that I’ve mentioned unfortunately take over. Not to mention the litany of complaints about how people play the game; how they cheat; spawn kill; etc. and what have you: Who cares. But what I can tell you, that to this day, I have never spawn killed (not even once) or shot one individual that has had their wheels on the ground (no matter how they played and typically let them start shooting first) and never once complained about how another player has played their game – because it’s a GAME.
I’m not sure why I had to “soapbox it” like this to let everyone know that I was taking a break, but there you go.
Until then, hopefully not too distant future, see you later.
Black Flag (for now), out.
