unless you are richy roo, I don't see anything worth a perm ban. ask in the blacklist forum. if you did something bad, apologies, and don't do it again. most people get a chance.

Permanent bans can only be put in place by Zuperman and he does not use them without a VERY GOOD REASON. Discussion of this matter on the forum is pointless. If anyone has any input they want to give regarding any permanent ban, they should email Zuperman.

Sorry zippy. The user agreement says it all.

The mods have the authority to make the calls as they see fit and they are not required to back it up if they don't feel they need to. I don't see any other way for this to work in a game of this small scale which is played around the globe. The community of dogfight has to trust in the mods and extend them some credit in light of the fact that they are volunteers who offer their services with no compensation. They have credibility because they have earned it through deeds.

There are a few players who seem to require way more moderator intervention and I think that if I were a mod I would be pissed if someone did a work around and pleaded to the community to lift a ban which I felt needed to be imposed. I hate to see you go but I will not refute the moderators decisions and I refer you back, again, to the user agreement which everyone here has agreed to.

Appeals should be between you and the mods/zuperman and perhaps anyone who has lodged a complain against you. It is not appropriate to get the rest of the community who does not have first hand knowledge of the events involved.

Zippy this is just an observation, not a jab at you personally, but for whatever you were banned for do you think its possible given your heavily checkered past that with whatever you did to get banned this time that zup just decided enough was enough? You may remember a former honorary pilot of mine, abed m4. Now, while he didnt get banned like you, within my own squad i hold my pilots to a pretty strict code of conduct. He violated that code multiple times and broke a few of the unofficial df laws and eventually after i'd had enough i kicked him out. Not bc of one thing in particular, but bc i was sick of constantly having to try and get him to follow the rules. Just saying that perhaps zup reached the same point with you. He couldve gotten sick of getting emails about you and decided to give you a taste of an indefinite ban. If thats the case, give him a week or two and then hit him up to see what may come of it. Sadly, you're like that hemerroid that refuses to go away. You hate it at first, then you get used to it, then it begins to grow on you (no pun intended, lol) and then when you finally get rid of it you're a bit sad to see it go. Anyways, good luck kid! And maybe take what you've learned here to the next mmo you play. Couldnt hurt right?

Just for a note, if anyones harrassing squads, it GoG! U dont deserve.a perm ban! man zup has his priorities here wrong.

You get my vote. You've apologised enough. If there are players out there who still wish ill of you, then that's their problem, not yours.
Please take some advice from a serial rage quitter and veteran of numerous mutes and bans (LOL those were the days):
1. Stop protesting
2. Reinvent
3. Come back in a couple of weeks with a new profile
4. Use what you have learnt to good effect. Accept that a few players will work out who you are and pick up on your past. Ignore them. They will soon leave you alone.
There seems to be an unwritten code about reformed players. If they stay in line and don't shout about perceived injustices the past is quickly forgotten. Just about everyone here is sensible and well meaning. Nobody wants disgruntled outsiders because they reflect badly on us all. If I put my mind to it, I could list a dozen conversations I've had in this forum that to me are unfinished. But guess what? It's just not worth it. I promise it's not about accepting humiliation, it's just pure pragmatism.

To those of you who are feeling Zippy's "pain", remember that Zuperman doesn't ban people for little indiscretions and I support his decision. Zippy had many, many chances, for months, but sadly he chose to be cruel and abusive in a place that should be fun as well as safe. Nothing is as sicking as the person who says "I know that guy's abusive to others but he's always been nice to me." Zippy's not the victim here.
