I hope you all have been well.

I've been away for a while. Never had a REAL vacation.....It's weird.

The problems HERE are frustrating.

I fly XTREME SOARING 3D. No killing. No stress. Racing. Real piloting skills needed.

I miss you all. However, the drama is gone. Happier!

Come and visit....

Paul

Hi PAUL, we missed you. What is extreme soaring. Is it a game. I've heard you talk about it.

Its a glider game, u use wind currents and up drafts to actually fly. Saddly i never fly more that a few minutes. I end up stalling. I had to do a split s lol to get back to the airport.

If u pay, u also get multiplayer rooms. Not sure how it works though.

Sounds pretty cool actually. When soaring look for cumulus clouds and ridgelines. Cumulus clouds indicate locations of strong thermals while ridgelines create (under the right conditions) rotors that if soft enough can act like thermals sending your glider skywards. Circling the area while climbing is how you ride them. I think the world record for the longest cross country glider flight was somewhere around 500 miles

I play that sometimes, but I can't seem to play when there are others to soar with.

Nice to see you back Paul. I need to check out the glider game sometime. I've flown in gliders twice in my life. The second time was quite memorable because I was soooo sick. It didn't take but a few wingovers and I was no longer feeling so good. Both experiences, I was appalled at the lack of go-around capability, and amazed at the shallow glide slope. And the sound of the wind.
