I may have seen it yesterday and today. Both during the morning hours once north and today south. but then again it just could have been a UFO I seen. Lmao

You might find it difficult to spot without optical aid because of twilight glow. If you can find an couple of apps called 'Distant Suns' and 'Red Shift' you should be able to track it.
My guess is that it's going to be easier to spot during December, assuming the Suns gravitational force doesn't cause it to fragment.

Hope you do get to see it. It won't be back our way during our lifetimes.
I was lucky enough to see Halley's Comet on its last visit, though I didn't have my current 6 inch scope then.

Good luck and happy hunting!

yeah remember standing in the town cemetery late at night in 86 looking through binoculars at this fuzzy smudge. Not that great but if I live long enough it might be better next time.

The best I've seen was in 2007 the The McNaught comet. You could see it with the naked eye in the inner city where light pollution is usually so bad you can't see many stars.

It looked just like the photos in the wikipedia entry.

I've seen ison three or four times this week. Got to get up early. It is currently found between Spica and Murcury. I use a small reflector telescope, but with the right atmospheric conditions you can see it with naked eye.

If you build it, I will come.......and bomb it !!!

Your right, it was a let down, but to have seen it none the less, was an achievement. Hale-Bopp, I in 96/97 was amazing, especially from a dark sky site.
