Windows 8 had been stuck with version 4.3.x for a long long time, which didn't allow for joysticks and gamepads to work properly. It was also creating ghosts in the game.
They were all fixed long ago but it took forever to get approved. People that are playing with Windows 8 will notice a huge jump in quality, speed and fun with the new joystick support!
