Herly rios, Windows 8 player. I blacklisted him, shot reds as ghost, then shot blues. Doesn't speak much English, but knew enough to say "ok" when we told him to shoot blue. You say ok, I assume you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Which were in your language.

Anyway, this guy is clueless about ghosting, ambles around randomly, but then not so randomly shoots teammates. Windows 8 or not, he is on my list to WATCH OUT.

Xiaoyu keeps on playing, a lot. He keeps on ghosting and killing (Le Saint, just now). He is racking up a LOT of kills this way. Zup says it's not the win8 players' fault. Ok, but then why do others like Le Saint have to be ghost killed repeatedly? Is it THEIR fault?

Xiaoyu has been told repeatedly that he is taking advantage of this bug. He says he is waiting for win8 update. I told him, "That's fine, then actually WAIT and stop ghost killing people. You are ruining games and people's stats." He still plays. Will be top 200 soon.

Zup says Win8 players now have 4.4.37 in their app store, and he will enforcr it. Those ghosters should either be stopping ghosting, or they have not upgraded. Hopefully the mandatory-ness can kick in right away, but I don't know how that works, or if apple needs to hit the store too.

Anyway, tell the ghosters to update!

Last night his invisible cloak was working in reverse, supposedly due to the update installation, and he got wore out from the beating. I can't speak for the others in the game, but I know I scratched a lot of notches on the stock of the rifle.

Hey everyone, for what it's worth, there were a lot of guys like me who didn't know we were ghosting,just that we were getting killed by invisible players ourselves. Speaking for myself, when someone finally told me what was happening I paid for the android version on my tablet and stopped using Windows Phone all together. And when I made clean kills after that I was complained about because my name had been recognized as a Windows 8 player, but I was actually on the latest android version.
Anyhow, no big deal, I just believe in fair play and didn't like knowing that folks thought I was ghost killing on purpose. I love this game and the community of players that comes with it.
I'd never do anything to soil the good name of Monkeybones lol!

I think it's only Windows phone 8 that has the update. I have a full fat Win8 tablet and no updates for that yet. I also have a Windows phone and I updated to the new version, but can't use it. I can to the menu, but when I go to use multiplayer the screen goes black and the programme crashes

Both phantoms, both were asked to go update. Niether replied, or chatted at all, they just kept playing their BS phantom games.

Add Mustyy and Spade to the list. Had a good game going with Dr Dave and WTG, but it was ruined. Death at respawn repeatedly, tank destroyed with nobody in radar. It blows!!!

Do yall have mik78? Or something like that. He is a good phantom killer, he got 9 kills in one run and never left our base. Another game he got 4 kills before davy crocket got a hold of him. Then he was right back at it with another 5-6 kills before crocket got to him again.

Dave, I'm not sure what happened with you and WTG. I missed the exchange because I was landing hits on someone and it scrolled away before I could read it. For me, I wasn't fussing at you. I was just frustrated by the bogus kills. That's why I left.

I actually saw mustyy siting on the runway in my bomb camera when my tank was destroyed by him. That's the last I could take.

Advise to others... Never tank with a phantom in the game. I took at least 10 phantom kills in that game. Almost all of them were after I tanked. If they lock on you in a tank (after you moved on, but they still see it) they'll pop your tank for 8-10 hits and phantom kill your plane 4-5 times.

Just took a 5 on this one. Verified that the 5 min ban is all servers now. Goin back to find him.

Back on the stevqj bandwagon. This guy is a real prick. Windows ghoster, knows it, keeps on doing it. This is a span of just a few minutes and look at all the ghost kills!

I don't know about the rest of you, but stevqj is so flagrant in his taking advantage of the windows ghost bug that I will be targeting him for a LONG time after this gets fixed.

"It's not their fault," Zup keeps saying. Somehow I don't think Zup has encountered someone truly taking advantage of the bug. Zup you gotta play a lot more to see these guys. Photo 1: I'm killed just after takeoff from my base, no reds in sight, no red arrow, no red blip.

Photo 2: TheKing*1 gets ghost-killed at our base behind me. No reds anywhere. King says that stevqj is a phantom. (Please excuse my language, I was getting really mad.)

Photo 3: Back at our base again, no reds anywhere, and TheKing*1 gets blasted by stevqj. Three times in a row. I just sat on the runway with brakes on and watched him fly off each time and get shot by nothing.

Photo 4: Departing our base, King is downed again by the ghost and leaves the game. I am at the hill already, and King is way behind. The only reds are in front of me, and no bullets are flying from those reds in front. There are no reds back where King is.

Photo 5: The reds were tough and weren't giving us a break. I didn't ask, since they were laughing about their little ghost buddy. Oh well, sometimes you get support, but not with these guys. Anyway, finally some payback.

Photo 6: EDoG gets nailed by stevqj. No stevqj in sight.

Photo 7: I get nailed again by stevqj without seeing him. I tank, and he leaves.

So Zup says .37 is now available for windows.

For the record, I also went to the andriod store - .38 and know thru bitter experience apple is at .-37

I've seen enough Windows players say they are "at 4.4.37" that I am convinced it's been out there a while, and some players are opting to not update. Unless 4.4.37 is ghosting (and Z says it's fixed). But the ghosting players either say "No" when I tell them to update, or they say nothing and keep killing people unseen. Yes, we kill them unseen as well, that's not my debate (in case someone mentions that lame point again). The ISSUE is that the players who take advantage of ghosting are RUINING good games.

EDIT: Castro-Teniente is the latest one I've come across. Through five games, I told him to UPDATE APP. He is ghosting so badly, he's got to be on an old version, probably 4.4.33 by the symptoms. Ghost kills rampantly and ruins what would otherwise be good games.

I'm windows 8 user coming off android, so I know the android store does list the current version, but to my frustration, windows store doesn't.

But, if you have any app installed, and then go to the store, if there is an update available, a button appears. So, judging by that my version is up to date according to windows store. If I go then to the app, then to "about" I find it's version 4.4.33, so I've got no clue what that 1.0.0.8 means, except it must mean something to windows.

Now, I do wonder if people get confused with windows phone 8, because that's a different story. I have WP8 too and it's at 4.4.37 lite (free version I guess) but to be honest it about as good as tits on a boar hog

Hope that helps, and I relay hope this gets sorted soon. I've offered to test stuff and pm'd zup, but not reply. But to be honest it might be out of his hands atm

I met him earlier today. Took me down twice from absolutely nowhere so I spent the rest of the game relentlessly spawn killing him until he quit.
That will be my policy from now on.

Not everyone tries to take advantage of the ghosting, makes fun, laughs and says they don't care if they ruin games, etc. Unfortunately, your admirable moral character is outnumbered greatly by these other purposeful disrupters. Sorry if I painted you all the same. I have really (really!) tried to communicate with each and every one who is ghosting, nicely at first, but when I and other players are met with nothing but invisible bullets, I will seek them out and, if I can see them sometimes, I will hold them down.

What else am I left to do? Some games this morning have been clean. Others have ghosters who hear our pleas and see what's happening , and reset by quitting and starting over (seems to help). Still other games have silent or antagonistic win8 ghosters, and those games are completely ruined. I care less if I enter a new game with such players, since I can just leave. But it irks me when I have invested time in a game, it is a fun back and forth of skills and nice banter, and then one of these self-advantaged goons joins.

But I understand what you are saying, and will try not to generalize so much.

Sounds good. This issue just flat out sucks all around. I would say my stance isn't just a moral one, but it's about being a man. Even in real war there have been many who took advantage to win a battle, but how many have won the war. It happens, but how we respond matters too. The Texas Rangers cleaned up Texas in the late 1800's against massive odds. I love their motto: "You can't stop a man, who knows he is right, and keeps coming."

For what it's worth... I was in a game with John a couple or 3 weeks back. There were a few folks in the game that obviously recognized the name, but this dude seems complete ignorant of the "film" star that shared his name. I mean really and truly clueless. I believe it's a very young guy and that may actually be his real name. I say he's been punished enough.
