A Drifters Dogfight, What is it? It's when you go to 3000 plus ft in mid field, shut down your engine and dogfight as you drift back down. It's very hard to do and adds a little fun to the fight, you can claim but only after you drop to biuld speed but then everybody's above you so you have to move. You should try it next time your in a dogfight game... Post your thoughts here. Thanks for your time.

aw dude...i got 27 kills like that!!...trick is they never hear your engine,and make sure your first burst is on target.......................only thing is i forget to actually turn OFF my engine.

Me and dave did this. He got me the first time i tried. We where i a slow spiral down when i forgot my engine was off and tried to climb. I stalled out and was unable to control my plane goodenough to evade before i was a fire ball.
Second attempt i shot him down, mainly due to i had an altitude advantage and i could drop down on him and keep a higher speed than him.
Was great fun doing it. But is harder than traditional dogfighting. U really have to conserve ur planes energy and know its stall speed as well as its general lift.

Have you figured out the method to power climb?
Angle of attack and turn angle....that's my only hint.

Lol, its all abput conserving and "booming and zooming" which is still hard without power. I tried trading altitude for speed butwhen the time came to climb back up, i fell out the sky. And was an easy target.

Yes it is alot of fun and the more people join the better, it's difficult enough in a free for all with the engine running but shut it down..... Now that's a fight, you fight to draw a bead on someone you fight to keep your nose up and stay outta their gun sights all of that without power. It's a trip.....
