I've been asked several times if I can add more languages into Dogfight. Of course I can... but I just don't know more than 2 languages
The current languages have been translated either by friends or by google translate (you can tell, i'm sure) so if you are willing to translate it to your language or see errors on current translations... speak up!

I will be more than happy to send over the current language file for it to be translated. In exchange what I can do is add you to the game credits.

2) Russian
3) Japanese (i translated it with google translate and I'm sure japaneses must be crying over this)

I speak some French but got a friend who is fluent in French and see him once or twice a week, if ya wanna get french give me a pm.

Sorry for the delay. I was just busy pushing the updates to all platforms.
This is the language file. The format is very simple. The first word of each line is the key, so you don't need to change that first word since it is what the system uses to find it.
Everything else on the line is what needs translation.
For instance:

MyConnection Hi, we are connecting to the server

translated to spanish would be

MyConnection Hola, estamos conectando al servidor


Then there are special characters, \n means new line, and \b means a white space. Sometimes they are required to be there because they add a white space at the end of the line or a specific places.

I attach the language files on several languages so you can decide which one to use as a base. The japanese version needs urgent fixing since I did it with google translate...

I would love to help with Chinese (traditional) if it's needed. I wouldn't be able to do Japanese much justice, however. The languages are almost the same in the basic sense, but almost is only good for horseshoes and hand grenades.

I believe it is fine - but the only way to see if everything is ok is by messin around with an updated version, with the language embeded. Let me know when done, Zup.

Zup,

I just sent you an e-mail about a problem with the accented characters of the Portuguese translation.
Example: instead of reading "Configurações", I read "Configuraes" (the ç and the õ arent shown).

I feel this issue deserves to be put in public because there are other languages (like Italian) that uses accented chars as well.

Edit: Oh, and sorry for not revising the first version of the translation. There are some minor errors that needs fixing (some typos, and some adjustments on the carriage returns of some long texts, to make the text fit the screen in a better way).

I am still playing the offline missions to check all texts, and this afternoon I will go online to check every text possible on the online missions and messages - after that, I will send you the final version of the translation.

And everytime you update the base-text, feel free to send it to me.

I've just added the Italian and fixed the Portuguese accents. I'll wait to release it to android for your fixes.

One more question, Zup: I noticed that, in some long texts, there are return carriages (/n), but in other texts there are not.
My doubt is: does the game breaks the lines according to the width of the screen automaticaly, or do I need to put those /n on all texts?

hey this might help you out a little theres a program you can download that makes your keyboard write in Japanese i dont know about if it translates it or not but it might be worth checking out

I still haven't forgotten about the translation into Chinese! Quick question: traditional, simplified, or pinyin?

Simplified would be best id say. easier to read on a phone screen too.
