Im going to be studying avation mechanics. When i graduate, hopefully ill get into honda jet and get to work with them.

Well guys. Seems the college lost some of my stuff and now i cant go till at least next semester. But aviation classes only start in fall so i cant do what i want for another year seems i might be flying some after all.

Man, that sounds frustrating. I bet you were chomping at the bit to start wrenchin.

My advice is find a line crew job at a local airstrip. Pumpin gas and moving airplanes around turned into an engine shop job for me.

Hey what'd they lose? In this day and age (and economy), schools might be more eager to bend some rules and get you enrolled. Is it possible that you are getting blocked by a nearsighted administrator, and there might be someone with a better view of the big picture that you could see? Sometimes the administrators win the fight, but if you haven't tried making some noise, now would be the time.

Yup, after a year of teardown and cleaning I started doing cylinder overhauls and running the dyno. I was the cylinder shop foreman when I left and I dont even have an A&P. Now im eligible to challenge the powerplant test from my shop experience and never had to pay any school.

I would recommend getting your a&p but theres no reason you cant start building experience. 17 is the min age for a private pilot and if you work a line crew where they offer flight instruction you will pick up hours here and there as well.

You want to go into an FBO (fixed base operator.) That is what they call the guys offering fuel, maintenance, flight instruction, etc. tell them you are airplane crazy and going for your A&P. Tell them you are punctual, hard working, and willing to do anything to build experience servicing aircraft. Lots of times mechanics work alone and need a hand or someone to do the crap work. Line crewmen are usually doing stuff like pumping gas, moving airplanes around, washing windows, cleaning, assisting others.

Kes buddy, best of luck with school my friend. U will be mist by many. I have enjoyed our Friendship here and in game, u always have something bright and light to say, I've always looked forward to seeing and hearing from you.
