(1) high-rankers go on lower servers to encourage better behavior, encourage getting on the forum, and report abuse
(2) mods get on there too, same deal, but with direct booting capability for immediate consequences if needed
#1 is always a great idea. Especially the part about getting on the forum IMO. The forum brings you into a active community, and norms are more easily followed when you know everyone is doing it. Plus there is an accountability to the forum that doesn't exist when all you do is pop in and out of random games.
#2 is important too. I had asked Zup to arm my lower rank account with mod powers, but it never got to the top of his list. No biggie, I can take screenshots. But lower rankers tend to be on the forum less (see #1), and these are the folks that cause Zup problems when they email him directly after having been banned or muted.
So we're left with positive reinforcement and peer pressure, rather than banning and muting. This may be a good time to start another campaign for high rankers to get on the lower servers and encourage forum use and better behavior.
