Any tips for avoiding runway pile ups?
Other than just "get outta the way!" :dry:

How many times have you spawned into a dogfight (or other game) where you are one of 3 or 4 planes getting ready to take off? Is there any logic to surviving it? I've tried;
- sitting on my brakes and waiting until others go.
- holding the brakes as I rev up and releasing just before I face plant.
- just going full throttle.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to who survives and who crashes. :huh:

But when you respawn and someone's setting on runway there is no brakes time it's crash time. All Im saying is even if the reds are knocking on your door there's others behind you trying to fight... They can't if your setting there. This happens alot more often than it should. If they are setting there and you don't crash you may be able to go though them if you go slow enough otherwise your screwed.... :angry:

Generally I've found that if the FIRST thing I do in the firat millisecond of spawning is to set my brake, I won't have rolled forward and no one can pilebinto me. It seems to be those un-braked drifters who wander a quarter fuselage or more forward, who create the pile-ups. Accidentally or purposefully.

Your mileage may vary, especially on iOS (I'm android).

I second that emotion, except for the android part. I'm on an IPad.

Same dealio, though. Brakes first so I don't move; quick scan for reds; hit the throttle; release brakes. If someone spawns, throttle to 50% til I see what his prop is doing. If its spinning madly, he's going, so I just sit and wait til he goes. If its just fluttering, he's not going, so I blast off by releasing the brake.

This works 99% of the time for me. Then there's the times where team blue is taking a blood bath, and the spawn point is nothing more than an exploding meat grinder.

I like to sit there and wave to my fellow teammate's as they taxi thru me.... It's a great meet and greet area (the spawn spot). :angry:

We should ask zuperman to widen the runway. That way those that want to fly can do so and the rest of us can park off to the side. We can have picnic tables set up and a grill. We can sit and chat while we watch the pilots fighting in the sky.... :)

I have found the the way to do it! You have to slowly go through them. You have to power up just enough to get moving then shut down your prop and glide through them. Then go full blast, do a double roll, turn quick left, quick turn right, triple barrel roll up, turn upside down, right side up, then forward. If you still have your bearings, then go to enemy.

If all else fails, just enough throttle to start moving, shut down prop as soon as you start to move, glide through them! Do not throttle all the way up or even half way! Just enough to move!

Ok what I'm talking about is at the moment you respawn you crash. It's not a big deal really and I should have kept my mouth shut but I was trying to fend off 3 inside the hill and 2 others coming in behind and as some of you know I'm play this with one hand and a sore shoulder so I let it get to me and I shouldn't have. I know better... Sorry I said anything i think I really just wanted to vent. My team mate was doing a great job hell he was doing better than I was and he was a lower rank player. But. In short I should have kept it to myself and just kicked the dog instead. Ok I'm kidding there he'll bite me for that. :) Thanks
