33 games, 33 game-quits. Some lasted 30 seconds, 2 lasted 8 minutes (!), most were under 2-3 minutes before Dogfight screen magically became Home screen. Apologies to my teammates whom I was supporting, and to enemies who had me in your sights when my game shut down. Pisses me off! There is an adrenaline rush when in a fire fight, and the let down when the game quits is really deflating.

you could flash a custom rom..depending on your carrier, you can unlock it and root it. i have a samsung infuse,and it seems i have less conn problems than my stock setup did..coincidence?..,beats me but with a custom rom you dont get any carrier apps. My phone now is comparble to the galaxy s4, it has a AOKP(Android Open Kang Project) rom, cyanogenmod 10.1, jellybean 4.2.2,with no carrier apps. and rooted you xan delete what tou dont want and get more space in phone.simply download to pc,remove memeory card and follow instructions on flashing from clockworkmod,preferable. youtube this for your phone.

Galaxys just cant handle this game can they. I have an optimus L9 and i have virtually no connection problems. My only problem is the freezing controls but thats only when i get shot down at a certain position.

works just fine on Galaxy SII 9100i but the S3 seems to have some problems.

It never crashed on my Galaxy S2 (i9100).
But the legendofkane's tip about flashing custom rom is a must. I had trhee Android phones: the first one was a humble Galaxy 5; the second one was a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V, and now I have this SGS2. All of them with custom roms.
For those that want to know more about custom roms, go to XDA Developers forum . All you need is there.

I use a Motorola RAZR and have no controls. I've tried everything besides uninstalling and reinstalling with an older update. Not sure if that is even possible? I'm not mad, I know zup works hard to deal with all the issues. I just hope I can play again soon, not being able to fly makes my depression hurt! Lol jk

I am using GS2 T-989 on T-Mobile. The jury is still out over just how much of improvement it is over my old Droidx2 with Verizon. I must say that the GS2 is better; just not sure how much better.

No apologies tonight for my short games, barely enough time to say Hi to people before my BLOODY PHONE QUITS THE GAME. Then after rebooting DF, I'm bopping quickly in then out of other missions, looking to drop back into my original one. I see people saying Hi but if I linger, I'll definitely not find my original game. Tonight there are enough rooms going that I never got back to any original game, so I started a bunch and never finished any.

I'm just PISSED. Pissed off that I'm sitting in a friggin' hotel room with lousy prime time TV shows. Who watches this crap? Pissed that it's a perfect time to play my favorite game. Pissed that the game does not run on my phone stably. Pissed that I can't keep it running long enough to deliver even a single bomb. Pissed that my next phone will be out of contract and will cost me $649. Plus tax. And who knows if THAT phone will run the game.

There, I feel better. No, actually I don't. What will make me feel better is to finish a game that I didn't have to boot into the end of.

I've been useing my samsung gs3 tonight instead of my tab, my tab seams shakey. My phone I can hold steady shooting head on at a long distance, I had gd luck tonight only a few disconnects. Been able to finish entire gms, that has never been possible on my samsung gs3 that's why I bought a tablet. Well see how my gs3 performs tomorrow.

Ah, a solution. I went to camera view and snapped a screenshot right after I entered a game. Made that my home screen desktop picture. Now when the game quits to home screen, I can pretend that I'm still flying!

Did you get that hangar? I flew in, dropped my bomb, and the game didn't end, and I said wtf, then I got the Disconnect error. Bloody hell!

I would agree with z on the tab 2...best $200 I've spent. My tab2 has kept me from launching my gs2 across the room!!

Its a great idea, but not as easily done for android devices, there are so many steps for flashing, custom roms, to break and unlockphones from carriers. Not as easy a 1 single steps as done with apple devices.

I tried installing ClockworkMod Recovery so that I could root the phone, and was never able to get CWM on my phone. Tried all of the stuff, including what some folks suggested in the Questions at the bottom:

Looks like a few people also got stuck on TMobile S3's. I even tried that newer version of Odin that someone suggested, but no dice. Tried both Odin's with auto reboot off, auto reboot on, and I still end up with Stock Android Recovery when I boot to the recovery screen again.

I've got an older Samsung Galaxy S that never stays connected more than a minute on 3g. I'm on a business trip now an just discovered that I can use the WiFi hotspot and play fine on my Kindle Fire HD.

If you're stuck in contract with an older smart phone you might want to get a $300 tablet with a much nicer screen instead of coughing up for a full price phone.
