The last 3 or 4 days, I noticed that some players were praising the latest updates, while others weren't (to say the least). The iPhone/iPad players were in the former category, while the latter seemed to be Android players.

Then in recent games, when enemy pilots seem to be able to turn faster and tighter than I can, I've asked what they're playing on. While not absolute, there's a definite bias towards iOS devices, so it makes me wonder whether planes on one platform flat outperform planes on the other.

Does anyone out there have pretty equivalent iOS and Android devices (phones or tablets) and have you run any comparative tests to see whether one platform seems to work a lot better than the other -- not for the beauty of the scenery (LOL) but in how the same planes perform in the air? Just curious.

Thanks!

I have never used iPads or I phones (I'm a die hard android user)......From what I gather, the iPad users (that have current updates). Have the better edge over android users. That's what I am told anyway.

I have had the same problem to. I have a plane the same as others and I notice that they out turn me and get out of my firing range and I get shot down...now I have never asked what device they have but I'm using the HTC one x but there's a thing with my android that it catches up to updates real fast, does any other androids do this?

I have an ipod5 and a HTC DNA. To me they fly exactly the same. I can't tell the difference. But the tank Is different. For some reason I can't control the tank on the DNA.

I used to usee a ipod4. With sensitivity full it was a great head on playing device. Now i use a galaxy tab 2 7.0. With sensitivity full I have lost some head on but have gained some in tight situations. I think the Samsung turns better. But I'd love to have the apples steadiness back.

So go out and buy the new samsapplesung. Best of all world's.

I used to use iPod 4, but have now switched to Google Nexus 7 (+ 4 depending where I am). I noticed the Android software being much quicker than the iOS in terms of controls. It can turn the plane really quickly (so quick I sometimes crash!)

So I'd say the Android software is better. Might just be the device, but as far as I'm aware I prefer the Android

I think it's more a case for your connection and the phase of the moon. Using the same device and download I have experienced all of the symptoms at different times. Sometimes between updates one has an advantage over the other but generally it is a combination of everything and one day your the Prince the next your the Pauper.

true that but i can never hold on a target when fireing on my android, with or without lag the ipad i can hold on a target long range and close range on the same wifi. Turning is close to the same but i think ipad has a little bit more edge i think. I like the tank better on my android verus ipad

For me today on an IPad2 it is impossible for me to hold on target. I have to spray an arc and hope I get a hit or two.

Generally it seems iPad has an edge, with the exception of the iPad I...after last updates, the smoke/fire graphics slow the iPad I down to nothing. Z says he's working on a no smoke/no fire option...then we'll see how the iPad I performs...

iPads indeed have the advantage of a bigger screen (letting you be more accurate). But aside from software differences, there may simply be a difference in gyroscope sensitivity (the thing that detects movement in your device). If your device is rooted, I believe you'll be able to change your gyroscope parameters.

Either way, it shouldn't really be that big of a difference. As with most problems users may have with Dogfight -- check your internet connection. :)
