I noticed that someone is taking some karma points from my profile today.
Some months ago I said that I don't care for karma points, and I still believe that there is no difference in HAVING 1 OR 40 POINTS. In other words: I feel the same now, with 40 points, as I felt when I was 0, in the beginning.
But (and there is always a "but"), I think that when someone takes two karma points from you in just one morning (as today), without the need of sending you a PM or a post giving at least a clue about the reason he/she did it, this "karma point system" sounds aimless.
My suggestion to this forum's engine creators is to create some sort of a confirmation form that pops up everytime a user takes a karma point from another - in such a way that, if the user doesn't want (or doesn't have the guts) to write his/her reasons, at least his/her name is automatically sent to the PM box of the user whose karma is being decreased, just to allow him to know who took his karma point.

And be my guest, coward one. You can take all my points. I suggest you use an alarm clock, to do your work every 361 minutes...

I agree with you Ped, I have always thought that too. Just to take Karma away from someone and not letting them know why is just weak. It is like taking the air out of someone's tires. I have never read you insulting anyone, just asking questions and making observations. Hopefully it was someone trying to give you a karma and their fat thumb syndrome hit minus by mistake.

It happened to me a while back Ped. It was really bad Karma Carnage. I got smashed by a bunch of nameless members, simply for opposing their view of the world. It was so bad that I had to bail and start again. I must admit that I still feel insulted and angry. Although this is a virtual forum, we still need real human manners to make it work. You are right to say that karma doesn't matter, but in a funny kind of way it does matter because it sends a real message - sometimes positive, sometimes negative. Richy has bumped me up a few times and although it cost him nothing, he has won a real freind in me.
