Hi I'm new to this game. I have played another WWI plane combat game before and also play other plane Combat games. They seem much easier than this and was wondering if there's any tricks or tips to being good. If anyone was wondering why I have [AET] as a squad tag is because its the squad I'm in in another plane game. I only have the starter planes.

Firstly, welcome the forum. There is so much information on here, it'll make your head spin. Use the search function to find specific topics. I tried to find a link for you, but gave up. Maybe someone else can and post it here, but there's a "help for new players" thread on here with lots of info.

If you can't find the answers you're looking for, ask a specific question here and somebody will help.

Also.... There are NO OTHER dogfight games. This is the ONLY one. Those others "things" were just a way to show you how great the real DF is. Stick with it. It takes some practice. If you are using the stick for controls... Good luck I cannot help. Try using the tilt method. You'll look like a complete idiot when you play, but it's the only way to go.

I didn't realize until recently when I played a full day with rookie planes, but the basic planes are at a disadvantage to other upgraded planes. Stick around, practice, earn some DF coins and get those upgrades. It'll will make a world of difference.

Last pointer... You have approximately 4 secs of immunity after you spawn/ take off to protect you from spawnkilling. After you reach rank 5, you loose that immunity and may have a big surprise. However, everyone has immunity if your brakes are on AND you are on a friendly (blue) airstrip or carrier. It'll save your butt!

It takes a while to get as good as me lol I can't tell you my secrets just stick with the game and you will get very good like me

I am now at level 22, and I play this game for less than 8 months...
In the pace I play, I will reach MORAF (Marshall of the Royal Air Force, that is the level 31) in december 2017.
So, plan your routine, buy a new sopha, and don't worry about lags, lost-connections and sheeps wearing red dresses.

The other plane games I play arnt WWI there's one that's WWII and one that's modern/futeristic there both in the same series of games but this game has to be the most unique airplane game I've seen. I like how you can go hop into a tank once your shot down. Those other games don't have that. ( not sure if I'm allowed to post the names).

Don't get frustrated, remember it is a game. We all have a learning curve. Took me four days to get a kill. As you play and practice the skills and know how will develop. Some of the basics that helped me:

1. In team games try to work with your team. Makes succesful mission much more possible,
2. Try not to get into head-on gunfights. Better to have them fly by, guns blazing, and you get on their six to blow them away. Your life expectancy will increase exponentially.
3. Be like Dory the fish... just keep swimmin, and moving... try not to be an easy target.
4. Know where the reds are. Watch your map at the bottom of the screen and be ready for them.
5. Be sneaky. if the mission is to bomb their base or boat, you don't have to be cannon fodder by flying straight into a wall of reds. Go high,go low, go around, take the escalator, whatever works. You will certainly bomb more hangars that way. Do not confuse this with bad behavior- it is not acceptable to shoot your own teammates or bomb your own base, to hang around the red base to spawn kill just to rack up kills (generally its seen as ok if you are helping your teammates get in to bomb), to use a tank to spawn kill reds... again, only to rack up kills. You'll learn...
6. Practice, practice, practice. This game is fun, and as you play you get better at sighting on your targets, aiming your bombs, working the tank, shooting from parachutes. Enjoy the process and the folks you meet in game!

Oh, and whatever you do, kill tanks before they get near your base or boat, and do not shoot at beatea if you happen to see him.

Don't listen to these guys, telling you to duck and dodge and keep moving!!!! That's a bunch of whooy..... All you really need to know is who's dangerous and who's not. Take the MoMs, their harmless, they talk a big game but deliver nothing. I find if you fly right at them firing they will always turn and run usually without firing a shot back. The only real danger there is when they throw out one of their depends adult diapers, Now THOSE things are loaded watch out for them..... . And the Falcons or Pigeon squad as we call them. Just throw out some seeds and that'll keep them busy while you bomb. Then the misfits, well what can I say, their misfits they rarely get in the air and when they do they don't stay long enough to be any danger. It's always something about the North Pole. . Then the confederate Air Force, ah, just watch out for musket balls from the ground you'll be fine. (When donkeys fly....Ha!) but then there's the WarDogs....Their a Vicious group of killers if there ever was one, you'll do good befriend them, they'll rip you apart and eat your innards for lunch, they'll kill you just for the sake of killing something. oh yeah and the enigmas well don't worry about them they don't really exist so no fus no foul.
