I got reported just for shooting my own player accidentally and now I can't chat to people

Check the blacklist thread..
That may tell you why you are muted and for how long..

Unusual to be muted for team killing but if your are, go on there and make your case.

The Mods are reasonable people and do all they can to keep the game clean for us all.
