When you and 3 or 4 other blues are flying towards that lone red and he opens fire. If you're his (or her...Luna) intended target, then you know.

Absolutely agree, PH.

Now I don't know it from your perspective, but I know it from mine; When I'm flying toward that "big red cloud" I'm absolutely doing a quick risk assessment and going straight for the biggest threat first. The theory is that then I can deal with the lessor threats in turn. In reality it usually means a quicker trip back to the spawning grounds and by then the formation will hopefully have broken up.

But YOU, Parrothead... you're the Miss Congeniality of Dogfight! Don't mean that (necessarily)in a bad way - you're always the first to welcome us noobs, invite us in, show us around, and make us feel at home. I know I sure appreciated it when I came on board, so it's hard to think of you as anything but kindly ol' Uncle PH, our gentle and slightly befuddled old friend.

So if I saw YOU in the middle of the formation, I wouldn't go after you first - no way! Not because you're not a threat... just because I've learned I can easily get you talking and just slip on by to the next threat while you try to type a reply with them big ol' thumbs!

Thanks for the kind words, Skunk. You have me pegged. I enjoy chatting almost as much as shooting down reds and sometimes more. I'm constantly taking a hit or two when trying to make some absurd comment or rattle some poor sport.

I know how much I appreciated it when those all-so-scary pilots sporting swords on their rank insignia would lower themselves to speak to lowly little me. So, whenever I can, I offer encouragement to the new guys. After all, they're the ones that'll be shooting you from 6 miles across no-mans-land next month. You're proof of that.

Strangely enough, one of the first higher ranks to chat me up and make me feel welcome was Bomer. Too bad we can't see eye to eye on so many things now. Still, I appreciate what he did a few months ago and I try to continue on doing the same now.

Skunk's got it right. Speaking just for myself, targeting first the highest skilled (not necessarily highest ranked) player in the red mob is a good strategy. Otherwise, I'm more worried that I'll have that higher skilled dude on my tail in about 15 seconds. Much rather have slow chasers back there.

Then again, maybe people just want to see the big puff of feathers in the off-chance that they hit you

I cant help but laugh when someone chooses to shoot at the aspirant next to me. Usually its a fatal choice.

Another sign of "respect" is they choose to start corkscrewing toward you. These types you can tell if they have a bomb or not. Getting pretty good at shooting those corkscrewers. It gives me much happiness.

Well I really like ol Parrothead, I can still remember when he was just a chick,,,No Really,,,A chick,(sex change) now he's a,,,,yeah we'll say "he" is a respected member of the DF community. And a fine target. I just love feathers And I do the same thing, sometimes. What I really like to do is target the first to fire at me. That's the one that's feeling cocky. That is the biggest threat, their the one that's gonna chase and here lately drop, so I try to take them down first, this more often than not results in my own untimely demise but that's fine to. Odds are by then I need the ammo.

Ya know what Dave? I think you get my vote for non-MOM of the Month. Other than the wet shaggy dog smell and the occasional fleas (those are getting better, I see. Must be the cooler weather) and you putting your wet nose in some rather...ummm....personal places, you're alright.

Funny you mention the gender reassignment. I have now started using a new standard response when some creeper asks in game chat, "any girls playing". I say, "transgender! Does that count?" They usually leave or at least shut up. That's a WIN!

I remember that, and seeing eye to eye is boring. Me and jimbo dont see eye to eye, but were still friends.

Hopefully you don't mean me, but if you do I understand. Game quits constantly on my phone. And sometimes it's at a really bad moment to quit, like spawning into a red storm firefight. I love those! Well, I like succeeding in those, which is iffy, but always worth the fight. I barely get off the ground and HOME SCREEN. %#@&**!! I try to get back in, and only sometimes find the right game, same side. Grrr.

I get embarassed at my own typing compared to some of the people on here... I don't hold any Ill will toward's anyone here.... I hate it when you do one roll in a head on and then some idiot gets all but hurt and mad saying you don't have a bomb when you shoot him down during that roll. Just to let you know whosethisguy I am not referring to you. You don't just jump to conclusions like that. Anyway no matter how much I hate it when people complain about people not having a bomb I must say I laugh. It flat out tells you there weakness and lets you relish in beating the crap out of them while your team bombs them lol. People keep up you thinking of not dropping your bomb ever. I am in full support of you guys as long as your not on my team. Should make squad wars pie if all your opposing team keeps there bomb at all time and 1 or 2 guys on your team drop theres and the other guys with bombs disappear on the map and come down and bomb you while 2 guys with out bombs force you into forever lasting chase that dose not end till you kill them or the other guy bombs and they kill you. Another look at it is they fly around your base in a circle the 2 with out bombs making you feel like there going to spawn kill you causing you to leave the game or just sit on the runway and wait for them to leave.
Keep up thinking of all your team carrying a bomb and you will find that teams of less skilled players could easily defeat you by just using a bit of tactics.
