I have noticed in recent updates that the parachute is falling quicker. I don't think there's a "magical height". You just need to be quick!

I once bailed out at 3000ft. My opponent was kind enough not to shoot me on the way down. And it was a REALLY LONG way down. :P

Have you noticed it takes 2 shots to take down a plane in a chute but like 5 on the ground?

300ft is a good pharacute hight.
