this game is getting very popular. i have been on for about 6 months and have noticed a bunch of new people. these are the ones who horse around and dont take it seriously. i used to be one of them.... sitting in a tank and killing planes as they came into my sights. i thought it was funny. but then i saw how it really pissed people off and it made me mad when it happened to me. so i quit doing it and make every effort to kill people who are. its just one of those things we will have to deal with im afraid.

Stuart, if we did what you suggest we would also need to limit deaths to be fair. As you said in real war you only get killed once. So are you also suggesting that the program kick you out once you are killed? And if realism is what you are going for then after you get killed you wouldn't be able to simply go to another game because you only get killed once and its all over.

Luckily this is a game and we get to try again as many times as we want. Aren't you glad it just a game? Realism isn't everything.

I agree with you. It is frustrating to be spawned over and over. It happens to us all. It drove me hard to improve my game play. Nothing is more satisfying than spawning into a game where three or four reds are over your base or carrier and shooting them all down. Then it's pay back time. I get to there base and repay the favor. Quitting aint the answer brother. Eye for an eye. Funny thing is when you get to do it to them they leave the game. I love it.

I've been accused of being a hacker and a mod. I'm neither. I just developed my skills to counter such tactics. The immunity in game now gives lower ranked players plenty of time to get up and fight. I will have a 2 to 1 or a 3 to 1 kill ratio in most games and I give every one a chance to take off. Unless they were spawning me or my team then they stay grounded after I make my run. Once they shoot me down i get my bomb and try again. So you can't judge spawn kills by the number a player has. Hang in there.

Hang in there Stuart. Voice your displeasure on the chat screen, if they persist there is a blacklist thread you could use. Sometimes it's fun to make fun of them on the chat screen too, as long as you keep it clean of course

And it's totally fine and encouraged to use the blacklist thread for things like this. Granted, spawnkilling from a plane is a gray area spanning the gamut of strategy, rudeness, and downright player abuse. It's hard to document and convey the nuances in a concrete, indisputable fashion. BUT if you post who did it and what you saw, very soon we'll see patterns emerge, and the habitual flying spawnkillers will be highlighted. If exposure doesn't mitigate them, then at least mods are alerted. At that point, if I see a documented habitual player in-game, and he starts doing it, I'll boot him and post the conclusion on the blacklist thread. You may note that we recently banned a player whose individual issues didn't get him banned, but the sum total (culminating in my specific observation) finally pulled the plug on him.

Well i am 120% against spawnkilling, and spawnkillers hate me cause i cant b spawnkilled. I just hit the brake and wait it lut. Its funny to c them diving down to shoot uand waste all their ammo.

Another good way to stop spawnkillers it to havea higher number of hits required to kill planes taking off. Just an idea.
